In Denmark, during 2nd World War, people got rationing tickets (at the background) that you could use to buy 20 g white bread (FRANSKBRØD) or 40 g rye bread (RUGBRØD)... you could also try to forget misery if you had a music box like this... and you'd rather had a standard weight unit (like the one to the right) to ensure you got the right amounts of flour... it is difficult to imagine how much people wanted to escape from that time... I am happy that we kept these coupons, music box and weight to remind us about how good life is these days in spite of everything :-)
Let's go for a ride through time.

My old tv from the 80's. It now resides in the garage. It was from my first apartment and used it for a long time. It is very small. I can't imagine watching now with the giant screens of today !
Big, modern mirror-window facade that reflects the old buildings across the street. Mulhouse, Alsace FR. In my album: Dan's Windows.
Fireball Run, is the story of 40 teams as they compete in a legendary eight day, 14 cities, 2000 miles life-sized trivia pursuit game; all the while aiding to recover America’s Missing Children
This appeared at the end of my road today. Apparently, it comes on at night, so I'm tempted to take a longer exposure later this week!

As more forests are cleared, more mysterious secrets are revealed.
Thank you for viewing!
You can gamble nearly on everything in your life. But remember that time (=of life) is the most important and expensive thing you have... consider it :-)

A 1962 Chevy II convertible with a six cylinder engine. I think a lot of men my age would look at a display like this and get transported to a time past. Happy Flickr Friday.
What were you doing on Sunday? I went into a time machine and travelled back to 1805. I came to rest on a beautiful bench and through the trees saw a Candlemaker opening up his shop to commence work...some adventure it was too! :o)
I took a merge and got the same bird showing twice in one photo, having fun on a lazy Sunday and voila TimeMachine is on 😁
I carry my time machine with me most of the time, it has come in many forms through the years but it is Music. A song can bring back the smell in the room the first time I heard a song play, music can bring back the taste I had with a food shared with music, a song will bring back vivid memories of friends all along the way. A second that crept in the frame is the camera that captures the moment forever.
Do you want to try it out?
Really Gerrie? You would let Huntley do that?
Shame on you.
I guess we better start learning some bears to read.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Just mucking around with yesterdays Cornflower and the inside of an old aboriginal hut made from sticks with a touch too much beetle juice for Sunday's slide. HSS
This one is a little unsettling when you see the hand and the leg. He's still sitting there. Also, its really hard to shoot a selfie with a medium format folder. I totally missed myself in the frame and I was RIGHT THERE holding the camera as far away from us as I could. Guessed on aim and "bam" this is what you get.
Lomo Turquoise (I'll get some more, it's fun); shot at ASA100, kind of cloudy day; Zeiss Ikon Nettar 6x6 full on mechanical manual focus everything. The most portable lightweight medium format contraption ever. Delivered despite my focus guessing in meters, which is not my strong suit.
The car is BLUE, but the film made it BROWN. Crazy. Fun.
This building in Midway is one of my favorites. I got it as the struck four and the dancers came out.
