This year, the popular BBC television series ‘Doctor Who’ celebrates its 50th anniversary. To celebrate this year’s event, I’d like to build and upload 11 small Doctor Who MOCs – the last and biggest one in November this year.
‘An Unearthly Child’, the legendary first episode of Doctor Who, deserves more than only one photo. I tried to capture the atmosphere of this scene. As a result, some of the details can’t be seen, but in this case I prefer the right mood over sterile representation.
Maybe I’ll add some more pics when I upload it on MOCpages.
After beginning this project in 2012, I was now, 2015, able to finally finish it. I know I’m a bit late for the anniversary, but time doesn’t matter, at least not when you are a timelord.
I created several other MOCs during the 3 years, but never lost interest in building what I think is the most complex and complicated console room ever (honestly, there is not one right angle in it).
I must assume I didn’t like the design when I first saw it in 2010 – too colourful, too bright, too orange. I changed my mind when I watched the episode ‘Amy’s choice’, in which many scenes took place in the console room with different lightings.
Speaking about colour and lighting, the curved walls are indeed tan, not orange and the walls in the back metallic silver and not red/orange. This made building the MOC much more affordable for me, possible even, since there are not enough sand red LEGO parts to build the walls.
Nevertheless, I used some “artificial lighting” on the main picture to simulate the typical console room lighting.
I also created two versions of the “rings” on top of the time column, one small ring and a set of three concentrically rings that are close to the real set design. For display purposes I use the single ring version since the three rings block the view.
By the way, the MOC is almost completely puristic. All I did was cutting parts that are “officially” meant to be cut: Hoses of all kinds and string.
After several months of absence (due to personal reasons), I hope everybody likes my new MOC, especially Steven Moffat, Matt Smith and the production designer Edward Thomas. I’d like to thank you guys (just like everybody else involved in the brilliant Doctor Who series) and I hope that you’ll autograph the big, black tile in the right corner of the MOC.
Speaking of appreciations, I’d also like to thank Rob Semenoff, a fantastic 3D artist and dedicated Doctor Who fan. He provided me with some console room blueprints and without them, I wouldn’t have been able to build the MOC as accurate as the bricks allowed me to do it.

One’s a Zygon, one’s Frobisher and another one’s the Meta-Crisis Doctor, there can only be one Tenth Doctor. Also has anyone listened to Out of Time and is it any good?

After almost 3 years, here’s my new TARDIS design.
The TARDIS was my first design after my dark ages. I think I’ve learned a lot since then, especially how to steal. Not just stealing, but stealing from the best. In this case, Mark Stafford aka Nabii .
His 11th Doctor TARDIS is probably the best one I’ve seen so far. What I did now was simply fusing what I liked best from both designs.
This is not a purist creation anymore. I once said that I won’t modify parts other than minifigs. Well, I lied, ha!
But all joking aside, this is one exception that proves the rule (probably not the last one). The idea behind this small MOC is that we still try to find more supporters for our LEGO Doctor Who sets on cuusoo. Next year is Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary. Please help us convincing TLG to produce official sets. Thank you.

Doctor Who's Tardis makes an emergency landing.
I did this with a green laser pointer, long exposure and no additional light i.e. it was almost entirely dark. Just enough light to see where my hand was when swirling the pointer round the TARDIS.
I posted this shot almost a year ago, but decided recently (July 08) to investigate how photos posted to flicker can gain huge amounts of comments just by posting to the "right" groups.

This is what happens when the Scooby Gang upgrades from a Mystery Machine to a TARDIS. TARDIS of course, is an acronym for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.

Almost a year ago, I posted my Benjamin Cook custom minifig .
Some time ago, Alex Day from the band Chameleon Circuit contacted me. He had seen Ben’s fig and asked me if I could create an Alex fig for him. As always, I couldn’t resist the typical British charm.
I agreed, we talked a bit and decided to create the whole band with all their members: Alex Day , Charlie McDonnell , Liam Dryden , Ed "Eddplant" Blann and Michael Aranda . It was a bit of an effort, but also a lot of fun. Every band member is kind, courteous, friendly and – like the 10th Doctor would have said – brilliant.
The Band Chameleon Circuit is known for creating music inspired by the British television series Doctor Who. Composed of popular UK YouTube vloggers and Doctor Who fans, the band released their self-titled debut album in 2009, followed by the album "Still got Legs" in 2011.

It's definitely been a bit of "Doctor Who Christmas" for the Jelly clan! We spent Christmas in the UK, watched a lot of Doctor Who there, trekked half way across London to visit the Doctor Who Experience, and stocked up on Doctor Who themed buildable figures.
But then when I got back home to the US, I found a wonderful gift in my mailbox from my pal Micah. The fool sent me his weeping angel figure, score! Thanks again man, you're the greatest. This actually makes two Lego creations of his that I now possess. Perhaps they'll be worth something one day - I think this lad is gonna go far.
Anyway, I decided that until I can find something worthy to send Micah in return, I'd better build the angel a few play mates. Who knows, this might turn into a series! Apologies for the lack of a scene and the crummy Tardis.

i had to buy 2 of this very perfect tee from DollzWithLove etsy, so that i could edit one of them for the timelords.
fourteen's kilt is from the medicom mad hatter. i have more realistic kilts but this one looked the most tardis-y. his purple jacket is from a suit sold for slightly bigger action figures (not sure of the name). the boots are from the other recent looks guy, only i added colorful laces.
spymaster is wearing mostly BCS clothing, with a coat that i'm also not sure about, and boots from supermc.
We have a cool Tardis money box sitting on the cupboard which I was playing with today. Thought it would a fun to take a picture of it and do a touch of photoshopping.

The episode shows the last day of the Time War, in which the War Doctor chooses to kill both Daleks and his own race of Time Lords to end the destructive conflict, paralleling this with a present-day choice by paramilitary organisation UNIT to destroy London rather than allow an alien invasion.
Revising the back story, the Doctor succumbs to Clara Oswald's plea to change his mind; and instead, at the last instant of the Time War, he hides his war-torn home planet in time, rather than destroy it. Unfortunately, the time distortions incurred leave his past selves with no memory of his changed decision.

So, here it is: my third little scene from my favorite series "Doctor Who".
This was my first vignette I've built for the Comic Con and one of my personal favorites. I think the droid arms look great as a weaving of the barn - somehow they have become one of my favorite parts :)
I chose this scene because it reflects the doctor's discomfort, whether he sacrifice his own species to protect everyone else from the rule of the Daleks.
There were so many great moments in this Special... so what is your favorite scene?
Well here's my Time Lord and his Tardis. Sorry its a bit (a month!) late :p
This is Ergo entering old age in his second (and most recent regeneration), unfortunately the timeline places this barely a few years before the outbreak of the Time War and soon Ergo must fight.
He is joined by three companions of a large roster of friends he has travelled with throughout his life. The benefit of not engaging with event like the outlandish renegade ‘The Doctor’ is that most of Ergo’s friends have not died so they change frequently depending on where they visit.
These are Ergo's newest companions - relatively - having been with him for only a year.
Triff, Argolin
Triff is the youngest living Agolin in the universe because of her race's infertility. Ergo rescued her from the point at which she would have died on Argolin, reports said her body was never found - and it never will be, she travels through time and space observing history. And, due to her infertility, is particularly... active with the young and excitable human Scott.
Scott Moon, Human
Scott should have died in the mid 80s but was rescued by Ergo while indulging in Earth's pop culture at the time.
Dinah, Peladonian
Dinah was the ruler of her feudal medieval nation back on Peladonia before an assassination attempt removed her from power. Luckily this was the event that Ergo had come to witness and he found the recovering empress, offering her another chance at life, among the stars.

This is the Doctor who appears in my (supposedly) ongoing Lego Doctor Who series.
The Last Doctor
Now over 5,000 years old and scarred by the actions of his previous incarnation, the final incarnation of the Timelord known as the Doctor has all but embraced the inevitably of his fate. He will die alone and with his death, the legacy of the Timelords will be little more than whispers and fairytales.
Having travelled with the Doctor for most of his life and throughout his countless lives, the Tardis has steadily begun to falter more and more as time has progressed. The exterior police box has steadily grown in size over the last thousand years due to the dimension dams slowly breaking down with the Doctor unable to repair them on his own.
Having given up all hope of ever finding Gallifrey, after his first 13 incarnations locked it away in a pocket universe to save it from destruction during the climax of the Time War, the Doctor's previous incarnation was born out of spite and hatred at a universe that never once rewarded him for his kindness. It was during this incarnation that the Doctor was a man unlike any of his previous incarnations.
Unlike his previous incarnations who could at times be abrasive but still the kind caring soul who first left Gallifrey to see the universe with unfettered excitement, this incarnation sought nothing more than to punish all those who had wronged him in the past.
The Daleks.
The Cyberman.
The Doctor was merciless in driving both species to near extinction.
The Sontarans?
The Doctor deprived them of their greatest purpose.
War.
Against their will, the Doctor forced both the Sontarans and the Rutans in to a peace accord which neither side truly cared for. The only thing that made them even accept his terms were what he threatened them with should they reject his terms. Having seen what the Doctor did to both the Cyberman and the Daleks, both sides reluctantly agreed.
Despite of all this though, it would not be until this incarnation of the Doctor crossed paths with Davros that the true Doctor would awaken and attempt to reassert control of his body.
As the last child of Gallifrey desperately attempted to regain control of his body he realised it was impossible so long as this incarnation of himself lived. Faced with no other choice, the Doctor for the first time forced himself to regenerate without needing to.
Given the irregularity of this regeneration, the Tardis reacted violently to the Doctor's actions and the time capsule ended up crash landing inside a 33rd century human colony ship, one of the last ships to leave Earth before the great exodus.
Dazed and confused, the new Doctor was greeted by two strangers known as Vale and Samuel who had somehow managed to make it onboard his Tardis. As the Last of the Timelords collapsed in front of them, the pair raced him to the ship's sickbay all the whilst the Last Doctor heard the voice of his predecessor calling out to him. Despite his best attempt to purge all traces of him, the Doctor quickly realised that his previous incarnation would remain with him for the rest of his life even if he was the one seemingly in control...
So this is a bit of history for how my Doctor should be interpreted, in some regards I imagine him as having PTSD as a result of the actions of his predecessor. Unwilling to face up to the reality of his actions though, the Doctor instead chooses to bury his memories of that life as deeply as possible both behind a smile and by completely changing the Tardis console room. Although it's clear he's more traumatised than some versions of the Doctor though, this incarnation still longs for companionship so he has a new perspective to see the universe from beyond his own.
What would you do if you met a monster before they were forged? If you had the foreknowledge of the horrors they would bring, would you do anything to stop them?
Would you sabotage their future?
Attempt to change their mind?
Or would you go so far as to kill them?
But then another question is asked. Is it right to kill someone before they've committed a crime? What are the repercussions if so?
Where does it stop?
Who does it stop with?
Do the ends justify the means?
Having recently regenerated into the final body of his second regeneration cycle, the Doctor finds himself embroiled in the debate over such a child's life.
But even then, not all is at it seems.

And why does the White Guardian seem to have such an interest in him?
the Mrs. Who costume always reminded me of the High Council robes in the episodes where the Doctor Who visits the other TimeLords... although to change the traditional circular collar to something asymmetrical like this, you'd have to be... some kind of renegade. ;D
so, in my doll world she is going to be a future version of Doctor Who, from one of those timelines where the Doctor gets roped into being president of Gallifrey. it won't last long, they hate being president of anything... but this is how they look in their ceremonial robes.

This is NOT my own creation. Some of you might already know that I’m busy working on my Arkham Asylum project. I weren’t able to finish and post the May-MOC and I was certain that I’d also not be able to finish it for June.
Therefore I asked my good friend Legopard to help me out. He created this scene from ‘Father’s Day’ for my series.

I know of an island, a little land where the beasts play and the mystical realms meet. Occasionally, just occasionally you can go there and find a place all to yourself and imagine the opera that is the infernal machines.
Wow, what a crazy few days it's been. I never dreamed my little infographic would ever get so much attention. Thanks to nerdist.com for originally featuring it over at their blog. Then they told two blogs, and they told two blogs, and so on and so on until tens of thousands of people were looking at it every day. It's my Official Fifteen Minutes Of Internet Fame!
A lot of fans commented, pointing out various mistakes and flaws in the info. That's fine; I was writing it from my own knowledge of the show, which is admittedly spotty, especially where the early Doctors are concerned.
I finally got the chance to take (most) everyone's suggestions and corrections and make a newly revised version of my Doctor Infographic. If your suggestion wasn't used, don't take it as a snub. Please keep in mind there is limited space here and I have to be concise. There's simply not enough room to include some of the convoluted back stories and plot lines that some people wanted to see. Think of it as a shorthand version, or an introduction to the Doctor.
This is the final version of the Infographic. For now.
