I've been traveling a lot lately, both for work and pleasure, so I haven't had the opportunity to work on photos or Flickr. Much of the summer looks to be that way. Hope that you are all well.
Have a great Thursday.

1934 Brewster Town Car
The Brewster was immortalized in the Cole Porter song, "You're the Top" and is the only American to ever win the Gold Medal at the Paris International Exposition, a gathering of Europe's finest coachbuilders.
The Ford deal and the end.
To save Brewster from the Depression, an employee purchased 135 Ford V8 roadster chassis and designed a body for it, identified by its swoopy fenders and a heart-shaped grille.
Stylish and selling for only $3,500, it was a hit at the 1934 New York Auto Show. The bodies were worth more than the chassis. These cars were registered as Brewster and sold at Rolls-Royce showrooms, and were not branded as Fords.
I'm a little late to the Thirty Thursday party but better late than never I guess. This is WC train L0-34 a couple miles out of Soo yard on July 18, 1990 with 704 and 6559 leading the way.
Watching the light driving home today I had to drop in to Lake Illawarra and visit my favourite tree..
Thursday’s child, a soul in flight,
Chasing dawn beyond the night—
Woven from resolve and light,
They rise where shadows lose their bite.

I had to get out and go to the hospital yesterday for routine tests. 12* but a nice warm car so I did alittle riding about.
Here was the Mark W Barker in the slip at the Cement Plant.
Happy Monochrome Thursday.
Another oldie but goodie from 2012 in the hood where I used to live. This magnificent ladder truck was nearby with several others. God bless all firefighters! Happy Truck Thursday!
Pssstttt ... my submission for last week made it to Explore! WooHoo, thank you, Jesus.
As I was going to bed last night I switched the outdoor light on and the snow was starting to subside and the deer were coming in from the mountain and searching for left over bird seed.
Woke up to 20* this AM and I'm going out today when everything get's plowed and shoveled. Schools still closed though here and all around.
It was a busy day in my rural office. I grabbed a late lunch and dashed to photograph the barn in between meetings. TBH I literally didn't have time to line up the shot the way I would have liked.

Protea is both the botanical name and the English common name of a genus of South African flowering plants, sometimes also called sugarbushes. In local tradition, the Protea flower represents change and hope.
