Water lily taken at Littlecote House Wiltshire. Having been away at the weekend I came back to no broadband. It has only just been sorted so bear with me & I will catch up with you as soon as I can.
City workers come out to play on a Thursday night. A tricky shot - hand held with a crazy ISO and heavy de-noising, so it doesn't bear close inspection. But still - one of the City's most iconic viewpoints IMHO.
I figured since I created "The Office Thursdays", I should participate. This is a wee little cherry cupcake sticker I have on my monitor at work. It makes me smile.
Basically same image as yesterday AM but this was last evening at 5:30 PM snow still coming down heavily but there was a person walking by on sidewalk. I did this in B & W. This AM system has moved to the East. 😊😊

I had it all planned, I even had walking boots to get across rain-sodden fields. But I left my Instax at home.
I toyed with the idea of not going out at all, but then I told myself firmly that the best camera you have is the one you have with you.

I suppose if you had 210+ years on you, you might be a bit worse for wear too.
Probably only another collector, or this doll's original mommy,
might see her true beauty still shining thru as I do!

I found out that this barn is called "Lee Barn" and is post medieval. I'm not sure the sheep are bothered by either of these nuggets of information.
June 01, 2017 - The rising sun makes the trees appear as a silhouette in the yard of the apartment complex where my wife and I live.

The scientist I sit next to at work asked me a series of questions about my barn today.
Who owns the barn? --- I'm not sure but I'm going to find out.
How many photos have I got of the barn? --- 111 instant shots, and a few others before the instant thing became a thing for this project.
Do I pay attention to the barn? Do I know how it's changed over time? --- Not really, I'm more interested in its position in the landscape than the actual barn itself.
He also tested the photo by turning it over in his hands and sniffing it.
Two of the great things about my job are that I work with people who have such enquiring minds, and that I work within walking distance of this barn. Put that way, I am quite convinced I have the best job in the world.
