Every Thursday I will post a picture or two that I have taken in the past.
This picture comes from October 30th, 2012.
I moved from Johnstown, Pa to the Washington DC area for a job. This image was taken just two days after I moved into my apartment. Looking over Cameron Run and the Capital Beltway, you can see Alexandria, VA. Prominently featured is the glass structure of the US Patent and Trade Office. For a simple guy like me, who's lived most of my life in small towns, living in DC and having a view like this -- they're not in this picture, but you could see the Washington monument and the Capitol! -- was really hard to fathom. I wanted to take pictures every night and post them for my friends back home.
This picture was taken with a Canon Powershot A2200 point and shoot. I think I gave that camera to my son a while ago, but sometimes I honestly miss it for what it was.
#ThrowbackThursday - to USC Child Care's recent Mother's Day open house, which welcomed dads too, like Assistant Professor of Writing Jim Clements, who with wife Tia Seifert visited their daughter Verity at the UPC facility.
Before Brooklyn, Joie BLack was a London girl! Hehehe! Had a little fun dressing up Joie in her original stock outfit!
For Throwback Thursday. In October, 1992, our family went up north to visit my Father at his home in Winnebago, IL. Here is my husband Dave and I dressed in blue at my Dad's house .

This Throwback Thursday photo was selected not only for the time that has passed since it was taken, but because it's the opposite of what I see when I look out the window.
Winter really got started this week and while the colder weather and snowy ground has only just begun I already find myself wishing for warmer days and colourful surroundings.
I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter for me; but at least there's photos to remind me that spring isn't too far away... I hope.
