This #ThrowbackThursday, we’re looking back at last week’s Ramadan Iftar Dinner hosted by Women’s Empowerment Coalition of NYC (WECNYC), one of our newest Coalition members and a past Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund (CCNSF) awardee. WECNYC believes that coming together as a community is important to foster a sense of unity and understanding — especially during Ramadan.
CACF’s Grants and Membership Coordinator Francis Asprec was grateful to be a part of WECNYC’s Iftar, a tradition where those observing Ramadan would break their fast after evening prayer and sunset. It was wonderful to be able to connect with fellow community members in a warm and welcoming atmosphere!
