My older cousin Kevin (he got me involved in this whole graphic design thing back in 7th grade) happened to send me this photo a few days ago. At first I could not place where this was taken then i remembered it was on our family trip down to Disney World in the mid 80s. I'm guessing I was 6 or 8? Mom if you are watching can you email me with the year if you know?

Check out that camera! I can't think of the name of the type of film it took; it was the kind that had the two round pieces at the end connected by a little thin flat piece? I'm sure we all had a camera like that when we were kids. Well, the film on this trip is one of the 5 rolls of film i've ever taken that I don't have a clue what happened to. I don't recall ever seeing the prints.

facts about the trip:

• there were about 10 or 12 of us in the white conversion van making the trip from ohio to florida

• I peed in the van during my sleep - i think only my aunt wilma knew (kevin's mom)

• i ate my first fudruckers burger. mmmm

• I bought the sweetest ninja sword ever at the japanese village

• i rode the michael jackson ride

• I was in love with whitney houston at the time. every 5 minutes "i wanna dance with somebody" would come on the radio. Imagine the amount of teasing you get when you are the shy, youngest kid in a van with all of your family.

Yeah.. this was for Lazy Sunday and I was REALLY lazy. I forgot to do much but put it out. It's still discounted for a few days. Main lantern. XD

The absolute realest family photo I've seen. Just true-to-life perfection all around. It's my favorite.

Moving with his family from Oakland, CA Robert Spray settled in Tucson, AZ where he established a silkscreen shop. He began painting portraits as a student which led to a scholarship at the CCAC. During the 1930s he was employed on the Federal Art Project. Screen printer Robert Spray beautifully captured Ted DeGrazia’s artistic style and color palette in this series of prints he produced for the DeGrazia Studios in the early 1950’s. Happy Throwback Thursday!

A very limited number of these unsigned and unnumbered screen prints are available for purchase in our gift shop at the Gallery in the Sun, $175.00 (unframed) or $250.00 (framed).

Summer, Barbie and Teresa

The girls accompany Barbie while she goes out to look for the perfect outfit for her date with Ken.

Barbie === I was thinking something blue with a dash of sparkle.

Teresa === Why not red instead. It signifies confidence and fearless.

Summer === I don't understand why you're disregarding your signature color.

Barbie === Hello Summer, it's our anniversary. I want it to be extra special.

Summer === I don't know Barbie. Pink always saves the day for you.

Teresa === I agree. I think you should go with pink. Add a dash of sparkle to that.

Barbie === Thanks girls. If you both insist then I'll go with pink.

Summer === So where is he taking you?

Teresa === Oh my gosh! Is he taking you to the Cheesecake Factory?

Barbie === Hehe no. He's taking me to this new place in town called "The Bistro."

Teresa === Oooooh fancy.

Summer === Well let's not wait any longer. Your perfect pink outfit awaits!!!

This week we are going back twenty-six years to 1999 and to RV 422 parked on Marlborough Street, dressed for route 32A.

CIE started operating route 32A in 1958, taking the route over from the GNR(I). It ran between the city centre and Malahide, but ceased to operate in 1966. It returned to the network around 1971. The route reached Malahide by going via Raheny and Baldoyle. It completely stopped operating in 2012, when under Network Direct route 32 was extended to Malahide.

RV 422 was new to Dublin Bus in 1998. It was withdrawn in 2009, and sold on to an operator in the United Kingdom.

This part of Marlborough Street is now the Marlborough tram stop on the Luas Green Line.

Still workin' on photos of my brother looking rather dapper.

This is a copy of a small print . The original was taken in the Alps on the way from France to Italy in about 1967. The car is a l947 Armstrong Siddeley. The woman is my wife , Janine Lowell Ludwig, who sadly passed away years ago.

This isn’t a Corvette. It’s the Equus Throwback.

Okay, so it is a Corvette, sort of.

But this Corvette has been restyled, and given a little bit more grunt by Equus Automotive, creator of the Bass770.

The retro-inspired Throwback is a limited model, with only 25 planned by the Detroit-based company, which utilises the ‘Vette as a basis to create a “significantly upgraded” muscle car.

The Corvette’s supercharged V8 can be tuned to an output of 746kW and 1114Nm. Equus says it’s capable of a 2.5-second run to 97km/h (60mph), and has a top speed of 354km/h.

Equus Autmotive’s goal with the Throwback was to inspire a sense of nostalgia in muscle car fans while providing a car with modern-day usability.

“The Throwback model uses unique styling language in its outer skin to create a breathtaking vision of the ultimate Corvette. Equus takes the customer down memory lane to an era when Corvettes were synonymous with performance and class.

“The Throwback can be personalized for the design orientated drivers or for the fastest paced performance centric customer, always emphasizing the original love of an icon, desire for innovation and uncompromised quality.

“Just as companies like Brabus and Alpina focus on European brands, Equus Automotive is focused on providing American Sports car lovers the ultimate interpretation of todayʼs designs.

My design was fortunate enough to win the recent "Loves Throwback" competition sponsored in part by Mountain Dew and is now on sale at Threadless. Many thanks to everyone who supported the design, I really appreciate it. :)

I'm totally digging that that reused the orignal color scheme as the original Bubbling Mermaid. <3

I borrowed AquaticUndine's photo for this comparison! If you wish for me to take it down I will!

The chicks are officially three months old now, but here is Grant, just a couple of days after their arrival, guarding our new additions with all devotion and dedication available to a collie (which is quite a bit). Now, the chicks will charge and chase Grant, who thinks it is all the most delightful fun to be chased by a miniature chicken.

I'm glad they get on so well.

With such a big E-Cig craze going on I think this Tareyton Lights Throwback is a good post!!!!!
