I couldn't wait for Thursday, so I 'jumped the gun.' Still working out the kinks with my recently reformatted pc. I hate this process, but every time I go through this (every 5 to 10 years, it seems) I learn about things my computer can do to make things easier....or way more annoying!

They've been played, scratched, broken, collected but most of all, loved. Vinyl records opened our ears to great music and remain the format of choice for audiophiles. So let's celebrate them.

The theme for this week's Flickr #TBT is #Records. Share your best loved photos on our Facebook post, and we will show our faves next week in the Flickr Blog.

Amtrak ACS-64 no. 662 (Siemens, 2012-2016) with train 161(21) passes over Astoria-Ditmars Blvd subway station on a sunny February afternoon. This scene is reminiscent of what could have been seen decades ago, with R46 cars built by Pullman-Standard from 1975-1978, Amfleet cars built in 1975, and AEM-7 locomotives built in 1978 wearing Phase III paint that debuted in 1976! The details are, of course, slightly different, with the ACS-64 locomotive, the Train Sim 2 ad, and the details of the station, which has recently undergone renovation.

Now there's a consist you don't see too often on CSX anymore, as a Mac and a SD50 hustle M202 north by the Macon siding. Could be fooled into thinking this was the CSX of 2010 for a moment with the vintage lash-up.

..to my summerholidays in Greece. Far in the distance you can see Turkey, btw.

Throw back to that time three years ago when my friend Scott N and I visited the Salt Flats. The beauty and stillness of the place has never left me.

This week's Flickr #TBT theme is #Travel.

Whether you soar through the clouds in a G6 or you keep it retro and walk, travel is one of the more enjoyable ways to gain perspective in the world.

Share your favorite Travel photo on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, or via carrier pigeon, and we’ll show our favorite selections next week on the Flickr Blog.

This week's Flickr #TBT theme is #Cities.

Most urban landscapes are in constant change. Do you remember how your city or your neighborhood looked like years ago? We'd love to see it! Share the Flickr URL of your photo in the comments section of our Facebook post or in our Twitter Feed (@Flickr #TBT #Cities), and we’ll show the best ones next week on the Flickr Blog.

I really can't believe how much has changed since this photo was taken. This was taken during H2O weekend of 2010 and it was also the first time that I met Mike Barry. I also met John Quay the day before this. John no longer has this car and Mike Barry's car is totally different as well. I never thought that when this photo was taken, almost 2 years later Mike and I would be working on a blog of our own together. It's times like these that make me so happy to be a part of such a great group of enthusiasts and gets me excited enough to travel long distances just to reunite with old friends and meet new ones.

How long has it been since I did one of these? Uh... Too long. :P

So, I got another picture and another story, once again about the LEGO Gallery. (If you guys get tired of hearing about that, just let me know. xP Maybe I'll do a throwback Thursday thing that isn't LEGO related sometime.)

Anyway, if you were on the Gallery it didn't take you long to hear about a little MMO called LEGO Universe. It was so popular there you wouldn't even believe. There were all kinds of veterans and even people who never got the chance to play! I can't tell you how many petitions to bring back the game I saw. (Probably somewhere around 6, actually. :P) Now, you probably already tell by the picture that I too was a fan of the game. (Even if I never played it.)

I made this picture back in January of 2017 to show off my MOC. Looking back, it seems I've improved my editing skills a bit. Like, the erasing could've been a tad smoother and I added one too many lense flares. But I still like how it turned out.

If you are unaware that shadowy dude there is the Darkitect, the most feared Villain on the gallery. (Who got taken down in multiple fan stories. :P) And my sig-fig is manning an imaginite cannon in the middle of a mealstrom storm! (Maelstrom was evil purple smoke stuff, I'm not just being redundant.)

So yeah, that's that. Tune in next week to see if I remember this is a thing I do. :P

Throwing it back to seven years ago with my first Mavic Pro camera drone and my first trip to Goblin Valley. What an amazing place to visit!

This week we are going back fifteen years to 2010, and to VG 24 on Ardlea Road with a service on route 27B to Eden Quay.

Route 27B started operating between the city centre and Castletimon (going via Artane and Kilmore) in 1971. In 2004 it was extended to Harristown, going via Santry.

VG 24 was new to Dublin Bus in 2008, and is still in service. In 2025 it lost its Dublin Bus livery for the Transport for Ireland livery.

For my first post of 2026, I thought I’d take a look back to one year ago today at the Tanfield Railway’s Whistle Off, which kick-started the Railway 200 celebrations.
