Moxxie tagged me to do a throwback challenge. I always loved how this one came out from about 3 or 4 yrs ago, so I rebooted it with a black and white filter. It also features a fab headdress that I still use for photoshoots by L'Emporio who I now have the honor to blog for.

If you are tagged, post one of your favorite photos from the past. You can either post the photo as originally posted or you can rework the photo by editing or entirely reshooting the photo. The challenge is yours.

A throwback cityscape image of Kansas City from 2017. I retouched a few areas and lightened up the green grass area revealing the cut lines pointing to downtown. I noticed there was a lone person siting out there in the middle of the field taking in the evening.

….. A trip over to Herefordshire last summer to a N/Trust property we’d not been to before, an interesting place and well worth the visit - Brockhampton. So a re-look at pictures I took there back then for this B&W Fence Friday edit. HFF one and all. Alan:-)

Another throwback

No long caption tonight--just an SD26 leading an MOED under the old CPF448 signal bridge at Eagle Bridge, NY in the early morning of April 15, 2008. (Speaking of April 15th, that's the date I always tell out-of-towners that Spring starts here in Upstate New York. But, hopefully it starts sooner this year...). Scanned from a Kodachrome 64 slide.

CP 6260 is a sorely missed face down here in the US, along with the 4 other CP SD60M's. 280 hustles east through Minnesota City in 2017.

Thursday extreme :) This pic here shows a panorama of the Eibsee near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is from July this year and to complete the throwback, we“re driving there in a few minutes. So stay tuned, for some snowy pics from there.

One of the last YN2 EMDs on the CSX Roster, SD40-2 8484, leads maintenance of way tie train A038 south on the Jesup Subdivision at Fort Mudge, GA.

The train would begin dropping ties just north of the Racepond siding and continue to do so south of there. This made for quite the surprise at the time and it's easily one of my top catches from 2020. The only other mainline appearance this unit made before becoming a full time Waycross Trim Unit was on A794 on January 4th, 2020.

Eastbound I13814 departs the terminal at North Baltimore behind a Dash 8 still wearing YN2. Not a whole lot of these left on CSX these days, so getting one leading an intermodal was a nice surprise.

This is a photo from 10 years ago when I was using one of my first digital cameras. The first time I saw a Wood Stork, a once endangered, long-legged wader, I stopped the car. What is that? This is a photo from those days, I suspect we all had, where our hit rate for clear photos was far less than it is now. This photo also shows why it's called the Wood Stork, as seen here in the Circle B' Bar Reserve in Lakeland, FL., March, 2011. This is the first photo I posted to the former Nat Geo YourShot group.
