This was moments after our final performance of James Barry's hilarious version of Three Musketeers. If you ever get a chance to see a group putting that show on, don't miss it! It is a fabulous script. (That's me on the right).
Allison could eat until midnight, so about 10:30 p.m., we headed downstairs to the lobby to get a snack. This is what she chose. :-)

Well I guess it's obvious - the one in the bed with the bandage over his throat. But Jeff's wife Becca and step-dad Tom shaved their heads, to keep Jeff company in the hairless club.
FYI Jeff is doing pretty well on the chemo, all things considered. He endured 22 hours of surgery on Jan. 17 to remove a very large tumor in his stomach. It's going to be a haul, but he's determined to make it. He has, quite simply, unbridled optimism.
Het loopt met de klaprozen alweer een beetje af. Maar deze drie bij elkaar houden trouw de wacht in de avondzon

Three musketeers. Two enemies. One major battle.' 'All for one and one for all!' Country boy d'Artagnan is desperate to join the King's elite band of bodyguards, the Musketeers. And when his fiery loyalties (which often get him into trouble) and incredible sword skill (which get him out again) manages to impress brash Porthos, foppish Aramis and melancholy Athos, the three musketeers and d'Artagnan become friends for life. When they discover that the King they protect is under threat, the Musketeers must outwit the scheming Cardinal Richelieu and the seductive spy Milady - encountering adventure, friendship, romance and intrigue along the way - in order to save France from destruction. But could a deadly secret be the death of them all?

Long exposure and light painted shot of one of the gates to the town of Richelieu France. The town was built by Cardinal Richelieu of the Three Musketeers fame.
We hired these costumes from a fancy dress shop when we went to a friend's birthday party in late 2008. The theme was 'your favourite Disney character' which is not as easy as it might initially seem. We didn't want to go as anonymous prince and princess, and were also disorganised :) so had to find something at short notice. These Musketeer costumes fit the bill nicely - they weren't too complicated or uncomfortable to wear, plus it wasn't too big or long on me (though you can see it hangs a lot lower than it's supposed to). Most importantly, it's RED and it's made of VELVET, mmmmm!
I wore my own gear underneath; Dax hired his ruffled shirt and boots. We also had three-cornered hats with a feather in them, and plastic swords!
We actually won a door prize for 'Best Dressed Couple'. The prize was a block of Lindt chocolate, and as Dax doesn't really go in for chocolate, I was forced to eat it all myself. Yes, it's a tough life...
