I was in Paris, France once at a posh restaurant of Champs Elysees, Elisha Cuthbert sitting at the table next to our (true story, though not the point of this story; right at the height of season one of 24 and even there she got some stares and whispers).
I was eating duck and pureed potatoes (I believe that just meant mashed) and the best green beans of my life. But the duck - Well, even though the entree was 60 pounds (which I believe was $90 at the time; a work-related trip with a high cash flow technology startup and a CEO impressing impressing clients - I would never have paid that for duck), I can officially say I DO NOT like duck. Can't, won't, refuse to consider it again.
But again, that is also not the point of my story. My point was that the restaurant had the BEST flatware solely because the forks were three-prong forks... Which I just think is the coolest thing in the world. I don't know why. I just do.
My point? Three prong forks rock!!
Amadiz Studio wigs:
Ginger Vintage, Golden Renaissance and Marianne.
Ginger is a mono-colour wig, and the others are multicolour. The main colour of Golden Renaissance is Brandy. Marianne is copper, on a base of caramel, which softens the copper colour.
A departure from the norm here for me, but I really liked the gentle dreamy tones rather than going for full-on intense colour.....
July 27, 2021: Bronze sculpture "Three Generations" in front of the Goebel Adult Community Center in Thousand Oaks. The 1992 Norman Rockwell-style sculpture by Ann LaRose sits in deep shade underneath a couple of trees. The heavily backlit location makes photographing the sculpture a challenge. To get this image, I took advantage of this morning's heavy cloud clover and the Pro Camera app's HDR function to get this iPhone capture. I like this sculpture, but not the green bird waste. Time for cleaning!
Three cs leyland leopard plaxton supreme 53 seater semi automatic splitter (that still works!) seen sitting outside as its been kicked out the barn so the wheat can go in! It will go back in when summer harvest is over! Preservation project maybe?
This was all about the 'threes' (no lisped pun intended). Three ages of existence, three elements in scale and three differing textures. These three elements will see many different ages of man. There was a lovely simple harmony within the image and it was nice to find a way to juxtapose each element. © Rich Clark Images 2014 Check me Out on Facebook www.facebook.com/richclarkimages or www.richclarkimages.co.uk
Happy Furry Friday
Dogsitting in Coconut Grove, FL
Yes, I am dogsitting again. This time not just for the weekend, but for 10 days.
Actually I am here in the Grove since last Saturday and since then I've been trying to get them to pose for me, but without any luck whatsoever. I might have had one sitting still just for the other to run into the frame, usually right when I pressed the shutter. And, all I got was a furry blur.
So today I took my wide-angle lens and thought I try some artsy shots. That didn't work too well either until I grabbed some treats, held them in my left hand over my head, had the camera in my right hand and just fired away.
So here they are, from left to right: Virgil, whom you already have met, Benny, his son, and Idgy. Virgil and Benny are Cairn Terriers, 2 years and 8 months old, and Idgy is a Keeshond and with 15 years the senior of the household.
Please view the three amigos large on black.
Three little maids from school are we
Pert as a school-girl well can be
Filled to the brim with girlish glee
Three little maids from school
Everything is a source of fun
Nobody's safe, for we care for none
Life is a joke that's just begun
Three little maids from school
Three little maids who, all unwary
Come from a ladies' seminary
Freed from its genius tutelary
Three little maids from school

These three mallard hens stay closely bunched together. I'm guessing this is their first spring as adults and for whatever reason they have not paired off with males. They were still together when I walked by the pond a few days later. You go, girls!
Photo above taken April 19, today is May 1 and the three ducks are still together!
May 14 update, these three are together still.
May 28 update, still together
- www.kevin-palmer.com - Hesse Mountain, Peak 10372, and Hazelton Pyramid are the highest peaks in the southern Bighorns. I've climbed Hesse Mountain, but I want to climb the other 2 sometime this year. This view is from the High Park lookout before sunrise.
Three wheeler.
A reminder when our childhood was so much more innocent.
This three wheeler is a reminder of that past as is found at the Glenalvon Historic house in Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia.
Beta Three is the second generation of robots capable of AHE or Artificial Human Emotion. The Alpha Two was the first to use it but the hardware was flawed. As AHE evolved into a more advanced pieces of software, the robot needed to be upgraded to be able to run it. This new robot has a head that has artificial muscles integrated into it for more complex emotions. If the muscles dry out they become very brittle and must be replaced. To keep the muscles wet, the entire head is surrounded by a jar-like helmet filled with a special chemical solution. The body of the robot has also been upgraded to be lighter and easier to repair.
