Three friends are resting on a seawall that is part of Havana's Malecón. Behind is the entrance to the harbor, a lighthouse and Morro Castle, a picturesque fortress guarding the entrance to the harbor. Juan Bautista Antonelli, an Italian engineer, was commissioned to design the fortress. When it was completed in 1589, Cuba was under Spanish control. The castle, named after the biblical Magi, was later captured by the British in 1762 after they defeated a defensive chain that protected the entrance to the harbor by going around it on land and bombarding the city from a hill on the east side of the harbor.
These are all that's left of my toy horses from my childhood. I don't know what the curly one is, but the white and blue ones are Shee-Ra horses. I used to have a lot of Shee-Ra horses.

Three girls, three different smiles. Okay, we can see the gap in her teeth, which is why she is holding her clenched hands to her chin. Shy, shy, shy!
P.S. I had to edit the fourth girl out, 'cos she didn't smile! And her expressionless face was conflicting with these cheerful three! [Done as per Rajahdajah's advice. Poster Design Group.]
I needed to be in Colorado Springs and came across these two sculptures at opposite ends of the block.
Three Creeks Metro Park Ohio a gaggle of geese in a row in a pond in the park. My wife and I took a walk on our day off at an Ohio metro park to enjoy the scenery on a beautiful day and we saw this old sight of all these geese lined perfectly in a row cleaning themselves.
Three first order BN SD60Ms lead a COLX Columbia loads over the east channel of the Mississippi on June 23, 2000. Was rare catching three of the same BN 60s on a coal train so I chased this one past St. Paul even after BNSF turned it over to the CP.
Was also rare to see a meet of coal trains here in Minneapolis on the east end of the Wayzata Sub. The two crossings on Nicollet Island would be blocked during the meet, and there was a hand throw switch at Holden Street, the west end of the Auxiliary Track that the Detroit Edison empty was on. Of course looks different here now with the changes when the Northstar started running.
From my Churchill memorabilia collection, these three Churchills are in three different media. Left is a metal etched profile, then a Royal Doulton Toby Jug and finally an oddly coloured blue plastic bust, complete with cigar.
Churchill had his faults but one thing on which he could never be challenged was his undeniable opposition to fascism. It was 85 years ago this May when Winston Churchill first became British Prime Minister. Without his magnificently inspirational speeches and his indefatigable energy, the outcome of the Second World War might have been quite different.
It is time for another Churchill to arise and combat the alarming growth of fascism, authoritarianism, call it what you will, with which we are currently faced, or democracy as we know it may be doomed. As an aside, Churchill famously said "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others."

Scots Pines are everywhere really, like a common or garden tree, but they can be so stately as well.
