I really loved the pose of this animal, which is one of the Western Lowland Gorillas at Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey, sat next to a pole inscribed with various letters and numbers. It made me imagine that the gorilla was formulating some new formula or equation.

I spent today walking in the hills in which I first discovered mountain biking.
For one reason or another, my sister lives in one of the villages where we used to stop for tea and a bacon butty, mid-ride.
I don't generally like to spend time alone but there's much to think about at the moment, so it was nice to get out into the countryside and have the space to do so.
As I left there were low clouds threatening rain, but the sun emerged as I got to the top of Lose Hill, and it was sunburn, rather than a drenching that I risked on the walk home.
I still don't know what I'm doing in my life, but some days I get to walk up majestic hills. And that's something.
They look a little more renn faire to me. maybe they were. I'm not quite sure.

Today, out of the blue, I suddenly fancied a trip to London Zoo !
This is my oldest son, the deaf....make that hearing impaired, son. He is soon to be a daddy and I spent the afternoon with him while his wife was having a baby shower. He is doing great and his wife is an amazing woman with a remarkable story. Surely God's hand is on these two young people.
This beautiful piece was found on the street in the 90ties... the young men who sold it came from from Senegal or Cameroon: one said Cameroon and the other one Senegal so... I never found out where they or the sculpture really came from.

Number 25 in my Project 50.
I literally threw this together in 5 minutes after getting in. I had a great evening out, having a few drinks with @simianstudios, @therulebook & the @standardistas. Lots to talk about and plenty of stories from the past.
It got me thinking about the industry on the walk home, hence this came about.
I wanted to use my flash, and also do a self portrait... along with the ideas from this evening, it all got me thinking.

...or Le Pensevr, as it is really called. This statue sits out in the middle of a garden in the Rodin Museum in Paris, France.
