Think this is allocated to the Wildlife liaison officer, certainly looking not bad for a PS 18 plate.
Spent a couple of hours on Monday of my vacation at the Detroit Zoo, a good part it with the apes. This was my first shot. I literally waited 15 minutes looking through the lens and waiting for him to turn his head or stand up.

Look closely, and you may see remnants of this little one's last meal on his/her beak. The Northern Saw-whet Owls (Aegolius acadicus) are currently on the move, traveling through Western New York on their ways to their breeding grounds in Canada. In the last few years, research has found that these tiny owls actually fly straight across Lake Ontario. That's basically a stick of butter flapping its way across ~50 miles of water!
Wow um....I have no idea. Its a Saturday night here in colonial america and I am either tired, sloshed, or a combination of both.
The action may not exactly make the most sense...oh well...I think it looks pretty cool.

Saw this at a local garden on a visit with my son. It is an HDR image, and then crossed processed on Picnik.
I think of myself as pretty fearless when it comes to mixing patterns and colors. And, yet, it took quite a bit of deliberation before I was comfortable pairing this skirt with brown. For some reason, I got all hung up on the black stripe in the skirt’s tartan. It demanded accessorizing with black or its pale cousin, gray.
Blazer, Cami. Shirt, Merona. Skirt, Tulle. Tights, We Love Colors. Boots, Nine West. Brooch, The Crafty Chemist.
Sometimes, I have to conquer my neurosis with an exercise of the imagination. When the black stripe starts to bother me, I just pretend it’s a very dark brown.
Just to show how good the quality of W & Co's work was.
I think the streak running across the photo is a ghost of a vehicle.

Potted history.
Opened 15 October 1866 as the New Prince of Wales Theatre, Architect: Edward Salomons of Liverpool and Manchester, assisted by T S Wainwright. 1,556 seats. Proscenium: 29ft. wide x 28ft. high. Manager: Alexander Henderson. Closed by 29 June 1867.
Alexander Henderson had been the manager of the Prince of Wales Theatre in Clayton Square, hence the name and the renaming in 1867.
Reopened 29 July 1867 as the Royal Alexandra Theatre, named after the then Princess of Wales.
Reopened 19 December 1896 as the New Empire Theatre (late Alexandra), after being rebuilt by Frank Matcham. It was said the theatre was so transformed that little remained but the walls and the roof! The glass and iron canopy seen here dates from this rebuild.
Demolished* 1924 and replaced.
*The side wall nearest London Road remains from the 1866 building, with bricked-up windows.
Think this was funny, we were inside a plane and this guy had to look into the hole, all the people just had to peek... thought it was a funny shot, happy friday people, it is almost WEEKEND!
Who could think it would be possible to watch at these kind of auroras from little Jura in France ?
The show was amazing with unaided eyes, especially between 00h00 and 01h00 local time. And what a blast on camera!

Hopefully, this will be a good way to render more accurately this outstanding show it was that night
I don’t think I really, fully comprehend the meaning of Easter.
When Jesus stepped out of that tomb this Easter morning – death was defeated.
Death was defeated.
The thing we fear the most - well, next to public speaking – has been de-clawed. (Or in the imagery of today… the Krakan no longer has any teeth – and he had a lot of them!)
I am not on a run-away train heading for a brick wall.
My days are no longer numbered.
As I rejoice in this day, as I live in it and share in it with God, as I share in it with family and friends, it is not going to become just another day in a string of days winding down to a meaningless end.
No! This day, and the moments we share together, will become part of who I am, who we are together, for all eternity. And not just eternity, but a glorious, light-filled, joyful eternity - the eternity God had in mind when He thought this all up in the first place, where sin and death are no more!
This day – this Easter Day – is the day that Jesus has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
I think I can finish up my photos from the California Railroad Museum. After all, what would a set of railroad pictures be without a real live steam engine.

Got back home late this afternoon. This shot was taken yesterday morning, it is a four exposure HDR, had a few alignment problems that show up in the tree's and the lower left hand corner due to the wave action on the rocks. I think it over all turned out pretty nice...what do you think?
I think this little gem fits nicely in my Hidden Dorset set. It is the old mill at the village of Melbury Abbas and it is relatively unknown because despite the fact that the village is on a 'rat run' for lots of traffic travelling north through Dorset, no one ever stops there.........except me of course when I am walking ;-)! If people did stop there, they would find quite a lot of interest there - mind you, I am interested in quirky things :)!
The mill itself is actually the smaller building on the left and it still has the water wheel attached - there are more pictures below. It is now in private ownership.
A friend gave me the badge for the front grill today so I've just fitted it, I think it's a improvement, what do you think?.

OK listen up, big change in Sundays plans.
No# 1 will be driven out to The Monkey Temple
by our resident niece. She's borrowing her dads
car to do this event with. Big Buddha celebration
on Sunday so there will be many Thais attending
this Buddhist event. The Nuns called no# 1 wife an
invited her to attend. Of course I was invited but # 1
has instructed me to rest.. Nuns agreed as they have
reported to no# 1 that when they see me at the temple
I'm moving quite slow and having some trouble getting
around the rough temple grounds. It is what it is ...........;-)
Right now some more new news has just been laid on me.
Tomorrow morning being Friday, no# 1, niece and her dad,
which is no# 1's brother, are all driving out to see the nuns.
This is also a recon run so our niece knows the way for when
they do Sundays adventure. Mama, Rocky and all the other dogs
will be very excited to see no# 1 tomorrow and on Sunday ..........;-)

I know you think this is one of Mark's #crazydrawings, but no, it is a bunch of dead bugs on flypaper in a small paper factory near #Tengchong, in #Yunnan. Another case of #nature imitating #art.
