Too busy to get out so it seems nature is coming to me this was on my door and l have no idea what it is. It has large eyes and pincers...I know it's not ,but it is Dragon fly like ?

I think this is probably my most pretentious title yet. When I first set out to document this Calla Lily, I was only thinking in terms of the flower. I was very surprised at how beautiful the leaves are, too. I tried this with and without the leaf, and I think it's much more effective this way. This was lit with just one small studio light, a reflector and a dark background. I took one version of this with just the flower in sharp focus, and then one with the leaf in sharp focus, and combined them in Photoshop.

7 Days of Shooting/Week #45/Think Pink/Focus Friday

I think this is a Heron. Not really sure but im goin with that anyway. Got quite lucky with this one. I don't really know what im supposed to do - settings wise - for getting photos of birds in flight. Any tips would be appreciated because the wings came out blurry in most of my other shots. I put it on the sports setting so I could follow the flight of the birds while keeping focus but im not to sure about ISO speeds as ive only ever had a cheap digital camera before.

You would think this was photographed on a reflective surface, and, sorry, you’d be wrong, these are actually two beautiful Peony blooms.

The peony is named after Paeon, a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing.

When Asclepius became jealous of his pupil, Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and beauty, M, (*_*)

The road out of the West Side of the Valley, along the Death Valley Scenic Byway. You wouldnt think that the desert would be all that scenic, but surprisingly it is.

I was in the Shangri La Makati lobby, waiting for a meeting when I saw the gaudy Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind chandelier and colorful carpet. But no sooner had I whipped out my trusty Sony TX-9 pocket camera than one of the many security guards came across the nearly deserted lobby and stood directly in front of me, blocking the view. To be honest, my immediate reaction was "you #@*% rent-a-cop moron! You did that on purpose !" But then, thinking positively, I realized that this delightful gentlemen had actually helped me improve the image by adding scale (a human figure) as well as local color (the shirt he wears is called "barong tagalog" and is the national dress for business and formal occasions. So I salute you, Mr. security guard, for helping keep the lobby free of locals who would not spend enough money here, and possibly cause a distraction to those all-important foreign guests ...

... at one point I thought I'd run out of yarn.

Think this handsome colorful creature is a Damselfly.

I always think of the Isetta as an Italian car, mainly because they initially were – BMW bought the license and redesigned them. The car fascinates me because I had a friend in high school whose parents owned one (I think the Italian version) and I rode in it a number of times. Riding in it was frightening – the streets were crowded with early 1960’s American behemoths and here we were in a slow vehicle with no hood and thin sides….

If my calculations are correct, the engine for this car (247cc) is 15 cubic inches, or 21% the size of the engine for the Sears Motorcycle (70.62 cubic inches or 1157 cc) in the adjacent picture.

As I sat next to this young fellow, I thought of Rodin's "Thinker".

This "thinker" has all the accoutrements necessary for comfy reflection. . . backpack full of books, and a beverage

i wonder what's on your mind?

Some people think crossing over and dressing or becoming transgendered as a lifestyle choice is pretty shallow stupid and of course pervy, it's what you do with it and how you live your life and whether it makes one happy that really counts. I manage to live my life as Jojo without rubbing anyone up the wrong way and indeed I like to think I contribute to Society in my own little way. I think if we are a perv if there is such a thing the way the term is used I guess that's what we are whether we do anything about it or not. But as for myself I find living the life and being what I feel I am stops me lusting over others in a negative way as I have solved the problem by being able to live out a lot of those dreams and absorbed them. As I've said before I've never had any kind of history or 'tranny fetish' as sexual the desire to me is directed solely about my love of womern and hormonal femininity. My dreams of being transgendered came from a lifelong breast fetish and when it does get exciting is the enjoyment of seeing beautiful girls making love who have that perfect blend of male-female androgyny. Of course I realise now that my love and obsession for tits was my psyche telling me deep down I was transgendered. Had I discovered my female side when I was younger and in theory at least become Jojo then I'm sure I would have been able to do a lot more with my life as what has happened has settled and empowered me greatly but there's no point worrying about that. I have to accept that I'm probably over the hill but I don't care too much as I still think it is cool to be Jojo.

The Thinker (Le Penseur) by Auguste Rodin, 1903. In the Gardens of Musee Rodin – Paris, France. When first conceived (at slightly less than 28 inches), it was entitiled “The Poet” and represented Dante on Rodin’s monumental work The Gates of Hell. Several of the more popular sculptures from The Gates of Hell were later enlarged separately. World-wide, there are twenty-five 72-inch versions of the statute. I think that this wee lassie is the sister of the little Gypsy boy accordionist that I photographed from just along the street from here, in Fira, Santorini. As I said before I am quite happy to contribute a couple of Euros for a nice shot and to bring a smile to a little face.

No me gusta para nada como me ha quedado, pero esque la foto en si es bonita, pero nose como editarlaT.T

Aver si os gusta a vosotros:)

About warm days and cool nights - long walks on a different kind of shoreline

I've decided to revisit a couple of my old shots and give them a "makeover" so to speak. Is this because I have totally run out of ideas for new material? No, of course not. It's because I have learnt an awful lot (about post-processing) in recent months and I wanted to apply my knowledge to the photos that missed the boat. I wanted to apply my "look" to older works to see if they turned out better. And the answer is: I think so. Anyway, this is a shot that has been languishing at the end of my photostream for a while and was a prime candidate.

I also don't have an awful lot of time right now for the ideas I am developing. It seems the more you get into this game the longer each picture takes in the development and execution. Watch this space: there'll be some new stuff soon.

I'm having fun with this clone game - but I'm not sure if this isn't just too busy. The swinger on the left was the last one added, and I'm wondering if it didn't actually look better without him (me, I mean!). I tried to choreograph this one a bit more, which I think helps a bit. But it's back to the drawing board on the clones issue ...

PICTURES SENT TO ME

This bikini used to belong to my sister, saw it when my aunt returned it.

When you first look at the bikini in the bag it just looks like it had been neatly folded up, until you take it out and find that yes it is folded up, but there is much more but it is sewn quite a bit using thread you cannot see either in many places

Do not think sister will be wearing it again ever as to get it loose again will be difficult and you might even cut it by accident trying to get it loose

No Post processing done and no Tripod :-)

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY WEEKEND...

Thank You All so much for your kind comments, awards, faves and invites - much appreciated!!!

i think this is my favourite dress of the lot.

the purple is so amazingly smooth and shiny and offsets the silver top quite well i think.

but mostly i like it because it is striped. as some of you may or may not know, i've a thing for stripes.

my friend sonya has a closet full of all these vintage things that are really keen. she likes to collect and sell them and really knows a lot about the clothes and the history of their design. she studies things, encyclopedically, at the Bard Graduate Center.

for her ebay listing, if you're interested.

Actually, Charlie is going to join the crowd but he thinks he's going to make a speech. I hope he won't be too disappointed. This is what he thinks he's going to say:-

'Ere yer are, Prince William and Kate, They're from us, all my subjct bears and me. They're pretty, aint they. Do yer like them? See, they're red, white and blue especially for you. I hope you'll be berry grhappy. You see I've got a sunshade. We bears love them. They mean a happy marriage, yer know. From us bears.

Many thanks for your friendship, comments, invites and good wishes. Also thank you to those who have made me their contact. Due to poor health, eye problems and low energy I regret I can't take on any new contacts but nearly always manage to reply to your comments.

One invite welcome-more, too many.

Or at least I do. This is my bit for breast cancer awareness. Yes, it is a somewhat cheesy set but a very serious cause.

Counting the days until I get to see my friends at SCC. I do think fondly of all whom I met.

Remember me once in a while

Please promise me, you'll try"
