Spotted this piece of aboriginal art on the kerb outside my doctor’s surgery in Northolt, west London today. It is of the ancient rare form created by the local Workman Tribe.
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. :)

Art meets utility in this sculpture showing flight arrival and departure status. I am kind of amazed that nobody gave me shit about taking photographs here, right next the TSA checkpoint. Of course, it is not like they actually serve any purpose other than to delay and annoy people who are NOT plottting evil... or photography.
Not sure exactly what this is - I think it's got something to do with pumping air into the PATH train tunnels.
I've had this since college. A friend found it and kept it in his dorm room. I always admired it, so at the end of the year he gave it to me. I've been hauling it around for well over 20 years now because I think it's cool looking.
It's settled into a more or less permanent role as a surreal garden ornament.
This was my favorite spot in all of Baltimore. Book Thing! Its a non-profit that takes donations of books, sorts them by category, and then allows the public to take whatever they want for free. And they have some great ones too...an awesome classics section, a whole rooms devoted to fiction and history, and tons of great old kids books.
