The thing I love about Autumn...the leaves changing colors. I hate when they fall, though, because everything turns dweary. I can't wait to get this Halloween junk over with, so I can move onto Christmas. :) I'm being a Salvation Army bell ringer at a market in my town. And I'm making up like 4 or 5 shoe boxes of gifts for Operation Christmas Child, which I love. Plus, I'm helping painting the interior of a house for the Habitat for Humanity cause....I'm working on my good karma, so this broken foot thing won't happen again heh. :)
HBW by the way!
This 1973 Volkswagen Thing has had quite a bit done to it. We had it stripped down to bare metal and Epoxy primed for rust protection. Then we began the rust repair there were a lot of panels that need small patches, the fenders were repaired, new floor pans were installed and the front nose panel was replaced. Mechanical and electrical systems were gone through and repaired to get the car back up and running. A new top and interior will be next.

Well this thing was a train pulling only another train as I was waiting for the light to go for taking other pictures these two crossed my path, it looked odd because usually I only see what I would call run of the mill painted trains passing up and down this track, so this one stood out, as it approached grabbed a quick shot of it/them, I believe that on the name plate in the middle of the first unit it says "Joseph Arnold Davies".
I met Mary at the Essence Music Festival
Mary did her thing as usual at the 2007 Essence Music Festival. I spoke with several people who had never seen her in concert and they each expressed surprise at Mary’s range of emotion and vocal abilities. She is unlike any other artist that I know of and that is why I love and admire her so much. I have been a faithful fan for the last fifteen years. I’m not a fan that would win at MJB Personal Trivia Contest, but I can sing every song lyric and tell you most everything about her career. Until last weekend, Mary was just a figment of my imagination. I actually had the chance to briefly meet and take a picture with the Queen. Let me just say from Kendu to DonPooh, and the other members of her entourage, everyone was so nice and accommodating. When I asked Mary if she would take a picture and then I began rambling (as I think most would do upon meeting her), she said yes sure with a smile. She seemed a little tired, however, Mary was still very polite and did her thing once again. She looks so glamorous and genuine in the picture. I was too busy thanking Mary for the opportunity and my smile was flawed. Long story short, Mary was all that I imagined and then some. She is just like the rest of us. As we walked out of the hotel and noticed the rain, Mary frowned, grabbed her hair and said, “Oh no. I know it can’t be raining.” You know how rain effects a black woman’s hair or hair weave for that matter—we all can relate. Her life is just like yours and mine as she says in “My Life.” Mary’s “girl next door” persona resonates with strength in her music and keeps us yearning for more. Yearning for the next song that expresses how much we love that man or how to rebound and be strong after a break up. Her profound ability to relate to the everyday girl through song is rare commodity in today’s music industry. Thank you Mary for consistently pouring your heart and soul into your craft. We love you for it and I hope you continue to be blessed and HAPPY. By the way, those children are so cute and mannerable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -melanie beaver

Noo I'm not saying she had plastic surgey. I'm just wondering what u guys think. I'm thinking that she gain some weight. If yes then thats cool! haha
We watched Where The Wild Things Are tonight, inspiring me to turn this carved wooden mask into a ferocious and friendly creature of great size.

Now Covid is relegated to being a bad historical joke, how much did your work change because of or as a result of Covid? Or not at all?
Flickr is the bomb-diggity. I've had a professional Flickr account for going on a year. I love that I can post photos, organize them and share them with the world and my friends or just for myself based on how public I make a photo...
I have been having some problems embedding a photo from Flickr into this post. Which has made this post take longer to do than I'd like. Grrr. The frustrations of modern technology.
But I think I have it working now.

This thing hangs from the kitchen window above the sink. It caught my eye this rainy morning. (okay, I admit... I'm home burning vacation days, and I was really bored)

This thing was stunningly beautiful. Because of its position in the case I couldnt get a really clear shot of it. There really is nothing that matches the fire of a beautifully cut colorless diamond. I wish I had one the size of my fist only because I want to stare at it all the time. It's like they are full of living, dancing rainbows.

Paris or some thing French with this interior with its wrought iron chairs and tables . The large mural picture on the wall shows the original interior as it was in the Little Brown Jug Cafe as this place was called in the 1930's . The word little has been dropped and its still The Brown Jug Cafe with lots of of its namesakes lining the walls , hundreds of little brown jugs of all shapes and sizes collected by the present owner . The cafe started in 1936 and was owned and run by the formidable looking lady in the floral dress in the centre of this picture . The original photo of this scene was bought into the revamped cafe by a little old lady who was 84 at the time , and that just happens to be her pictured in the middle near the weighting scales .. I noted the lady customer with her back to the photographer has her hair dressed in a fashionable 1940's styling with hat of the times and she appears to have a pram close to her table . Thats when people dressed to come to town a far cry from the casual look of today . Also noted are the pretty vases of flowers on the other tables adding to the scene ..
