The Thimble Islands are an archipelago of small islands in Long Island Sound, in and near the harbor of Stony Creek, Connecticut in the southeast corner of Branford, Connecticut.
The Tin Thimble is a family-owned and operated creative sewing and fiber arts shop. I buckled down this morning and did all the stitching on the binding. Voila! I'm delighted with this simple and cheerful quilt for the summer. I used a charm pack, plus additional fabric (not from the same line) for the borders and backing. The binding is the same fabric as the back, as I really liked it. Instead of quilting it, I tied it, using a random placement of blue and green embroidery floss knots. It's about 60" square.
