For many years Arriva The Shires Route 62 and Carousel Buses 'Line 4' have competed over the Chesham - Amersham - High Wycombe corridor. Recently however there has been an outbreak of common sense, and both operators have agreed to co-ordinate their timetables and publicity and to accept each other's return tickets.
The renumbered route, branded 'The One', commenced on 14th April. A number of buses in both fleets have now gained 'The One' branding - naturally Carousel is know as 'Red One' and Arriva as 'Blue One'!
This rear view of Optare Tempo 801 at Chesham Broadway during the afternoon of Friday 19th April shows the branding as applied to Carousel Buses. The bus is about to set off for the last leg of its journey to White Hill; Arriva's 'Blue Ones' operate instead to Pond Park Estate.

Carousel 420 is one of four MAN 14.220/ADL Enviro 200 that were bought new for Line 4 in 2010 (they entered service on 1st September that year, the first day of '60' registrations). It is seen in Red Lion Street during the afternoon of Friday 19th April, still carrying the old route branding, and is headed for White Hill, described on the display as 'Chesham Gr [i.e. Grammar] School'. This is served exclusively by 'Red One', Arriva's 'Blue One' operating instead to Pond Park Estate'.
