I took this photo through the electric fence that I zapped myself on TWICE on Saturday. Totally not recommended for a 32-weeks-pregnant woman, if you were wondering. I also fell down the back porch stairs and then later slipped on a pile of kitchen scraps in the chicken yard. But I'm fine. And the baby's fine. In fact, he or she is giving you a little wave right now, which you could totally see from across the room if, you know, you were here in the room with me.
Things are good with Luanne too. She's young and stubborn, but I've decided I'm stubborner. After about three weeks, I've finally figured out how to milk her without getting butted and without her lying down right on top of the milking pail. She seems to be relaxing. She loves a good scratch behind her ears. She's very funny. She sleeps with the chickens, so we're very glad we made her a shed. Her milk is creamy and almost sweet -- what a lovely, lovely thing to have in our life now.
