Very Thankful for this morning's Dawn image that reminds me to count my blessings, while sheltered-in-place in these difficult CoVid19 times.

The highest point on the A83 is 803 ft above sea level and divides Glen Kinglas from Glen Croe.

From the viewpoint of this famous beauty spot you can see the old valley road, engineered by General Wade during the subjection of Scotland following the Jacobite rebellion.

A stone was erected to commemorate the completion of this military road in 1750

After a decent morning around the Rijeka Ramp seeing a few 1141's it was back to Meja in the afternoon heat with the hope of one more on a freight.

The walk to the location wasn't ideal with a quick jog along the track being the only route I could see as possible. The first train which was a guaranteed 1141 sadly came under cover of clouds. The second came in sun but was sadly a 185 and a Railpool one at that... However I still had hope as it had been hauling half of a container train meaning the other half might be on it's way. This was thankfully the case and even better so it was hauled by HZ Cargo 1141 202 and 1141 321. This 80's Koncar built pair brought just 12 wagons due to the gradients on the lines profile.

These locos still remain one of my favourite locomotives and hopefully a trip to Bosnia or Serbia in the new year will result in more catches.

A wonderful Thanksgiving Day.....and heartfelt thanks to all my Flickr friends who share their lovely pictures! They bring me joy and inspiration.

In 1863 Abraham Lincoln proclaimed the national holiday on the fourth Thursday of November, as Thanksgiving a time of togetherness and gratitude!

I am thankful the Lord created so many beautiful animals for us to see. His nature is amazing.

I also love the way He works. Last year, a total stranger mentioned seeing a fox which led me to her!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

I did not get the chance to make a Thanksgiving picture this year but I do want to take a moment to say that I'm very thankful. First off I'm thankful to Mannie for healing my heart after what I would say was the worst heartbreak and blindside I've ever experienced on SL. It was and still is a process in me believing that all people aren't bad in SL, that I am worthy of someone's love, and most of all that I'm enough just the way I am, flaws and all. Second, I'm thankful for Gazza, he works tirelessly on creating my beautiful sims, putting my thoughts to life and just expanding on them tremendously. I am thankful for my SL sister Gigi, who has my back no matter what is going on in our worlds. But last but definitely not least I am thankful for the people that take the time and enjoy my work, and my shared appreciation for sl photography.

Each day offers us the gift of being a special occasion if we can simply learn that as well as giving, it is blessed to receive with grace and a grateful heart. Sarah Ban Breathnach

I am thankful for having a VERY wonderful and loving wife, a SUPER TERRIC son, and some VERY GOOD friends... so in all I couldn't ask for a better life.

I’m thankful for another day to experience life.

Thankfully, the hot sun is taking a break, but the air is quite thick as this CPKC empty ballast train traverses the Wisconsin & Southern's trackage in-route to Waterloo for loading.

...thankful for my dear flickr friends...

...absolute inspiration...

...always so generous...

...you are a gift...

Just shot this with my Samsung out our big kitchen window. I am thankful for trees and all the northern birds that have been arriving to overwinter with us. Yesterday we had a Hairy woodpecker on the suet, and I see 6 bluebirds glowing in the sunshine out the window by my computer as I write this. And wintering Yellow rumps. And now a beautiful winter Sapsucker! SOOC, our North Georgia backyard 11-24-21

Time to start cooking!! Have a great day everyone ...

Being "locked-down" is making me more appreciative of life's small beauties.

A Montana Rail Link helper set out of the Helena pool, pushes a westbound BNSF grain train up Winston Hill between Townsend and Winston, Montana, at 7:53 a.m. on October 13, 2023. Thankful, yes—to be able to photograph MRL one more time before it disappears—and to enjoy some of the trip with a trackside Airbnb vacation rental with a view of the action from the kitchen window.

The last few months have been a scary struggle with my mental health. I just wanted to thank you for the love and support to keep waking up, and keep walking this earth. I appreciate your warm wishes, even when people notice I go missing. Knowing that you notice, I'm going to be gone for a few days for Thanksgiving. I don't want anyone worrying. I wish you all a happy and loving Thanksgiving. ♥

So thankful for this guy with the beautiful baby blues.

have a happy and healthy thanksgiving!

Thankfully yesterday I went to Planting Fields Arboretum and filled up on flowers, colors and leaves...

Today is white outside, for now at least 3 inches of very heavy snow... I just came in from having to plow out the driveway all alone... my husband had his hip replaced in October and still can't do anything... (men!!) I need to see color to brighten my day....

My wife has picked up dogs and cats from the street in small village in Monte Negro

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend (here in Canada) I took a moment to reflect on what I am thankful and most grateful for in my life. Of course what tops my list is my family, true friends, good health, my home and the food I am able to grow and eat. The list goes on as there are so many beautiful things in life to be thankful for. What are you most thankful for?

Thanks very much for your visit. I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. ❤

Today I'm thankful our Indigenous friends, for this feast and for Secondlife allowing me to share it with friends across the world. Now, enjoy the herbal glaze on this big bird!

After a long and productive life, the truck came to rest in a ravine in the desert, thankful for retirement.

Happy Truck Thursday!

And Happy Thanksgiving.

I had the humbling honor of being featured yesterday by the Norfolk & Western Class J No. 611 as their spotlight photographer. I guess none of us really understand how powerful some of our images can be, because I've never received so much attention for my pictures. This photography thing started off for me as a casual hobby, which has turned into my true passion and something that I love to do. I appreciate each and every person who checks out my photos, and the awesome railroad photography community here on social media that always encourages me to keep doing what I love. Enjoy this photo of the 611 at sunrise in Strasburg, PA.

Thankfully dodging ExtremePadreFan and some of the other Fullerton regulars, I was able to click several BNSF, Amtrak, and Metrolink trains on a pleasant March afternoon. While not the most scenic spot in the world, one cannot deny Fullerton is a very busy place.

The Harris Hawk is a medium-large bird of prey that breeds from the southwestern United States south to Chile, central Argentina, and Brazil. Birds are sometimes reported at large in Western Europe, especially Britain, but it is a popular species in falconry and these records almost certainly all refer to escapes from captivity..This one has been at large for some time and is thriving it jesses (leather strips around its legs to hold in a glove while hunting or handling the bird ) are broken and warm so not much chance of them getting tangled thankfully. .Was lucky enough to see it land and after a 40 minute stalk with badger in tow this is 1 of quite a few shots i got
