Thankful for the people in my life,
Thankful to have been loved by so many,
Thankful to have seen so many amazing things,
Thankful for today
The light was so intense that it really flooded these butterfly. The evening created a dreamy athmosphere in the background of this little beauty. I was so fascinated by this light that I could hardly keep my camera steady. To my astonishment, the butterfly did not notice anything of my excitement, and remained sitting on this stalk for minutes. I could have laughed at this moment of happiness when I saw this beauty before me. I spent countless hours at this little natural paradise to capture the beauty of it. That I would be so richly rewarded, I would not have dreamed. When the butterfly opened the wings and I was able to photograph him in the backlight, it seemed to me as if an angel would be in front of me, who would tell me: Look, I have created everything so beautifully. Take care of my creation, even to the small creatures. I accepted the gift thankfully.
When I am in this little natural paradise, I forget the time, I forget my fears, my worries. I only see the little beauties of creation. Then I think for myself that no human hand can create something unique and beautiful. He can change it, but not create it. Every little drop of water, which is produced by the night and begins to light up in the morning sun, is something unique.
So every human being is something unique, something special, something beautiful. Do we recognize these unique beauties we have? Are we thankful that we can be healthy and how these flowers and butterflies can appear in the world with our smile, with our love for people and nature?
There are so many questions that come to my mind when I am alone in the wild nature. And when I can look and enjoy these pearls of nature at home, I am so grateful that I can experience this as a healthy person.
I wish all of us that we are grateful for the small and big wonders around us. Grateful to people who help us, who support us when things do not go so well in life. Thankful for friends who love us unconditionally. Thankful for people who are there when you need them. I thank my dear friends for every kind word, for every gesture of friendship and sympathy.
In remembrance of my brother

Thankfulness..........
Now I don't know about YOU....but I struggle sometimes with the aspect....."THAT GOD WILL PROVIDE WHAT WE NEED"...................yes I have faith....tremendous faith, sometimes it is all I cling to. But yet when life is very rough...I have moments where I lose my thoughts on when will this end??
Now this year has been a tremendous burden in many ways I will not devulge......BUT that brings me to the evaluation I tend to do............
I believe I have made and strenthened so many supportful friendships here among YOU ...the flickr fellowship that got me through a very rough year.
SO I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU DEAR FRIENDS.....YOU helped me more than you were not even aware and continue to. Bless you and yours on this day....and every day forward. My love goes out....my prayers go out...........to each and every one of YOU.
Take care..............xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
I shall not be on here during the day and possibly the evening and just wanted to share what I feel from the heart...................................~Chelle

Another visitor to my garden. One more pic in comment box.
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. I very much appreciate it.
I was just thankful that upon closer inspection, the unattached appendage did not have an opposable thumb.
Caracaras are members of the falcon family but are mostly carrion eaters, more similar to a vulture, which, coincidentally, may be the previous owner of the lost limb based on appearance. Seen at Quintana Beach near Freeport, Texas.
In life we should always take a moment and be thankful for the things that we have. Take nothing for granted, and enjoy the time you’re given.
This sim closed last night. Thankfully, I found out before had and went to get some last minute shots!
My poor boy has been really sick the last few weeks. Thankfully, he is starting to feel better and we were able to go for a short walk yesterday.
Thankful that our Eagle friends are still here despite Hurricane Ian. Am hoping and praying that we do a better job looking after our climate from now on!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️tr
A wise person once told me ...
' focus on what we have, rather than looking at what is missing'
... how beautiful our minds are, to be table to take a concept, embrace it with whole heartedness, and find that it changes our entire outlook in the process.
I am thankful for all the people in my life who bring me many blessings and learnings

Happy Easter Flickr friends! ~
Be thankful. Count your blessings.
Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend.
Long time Flickr friends Jayme and Dash came over for a Thanksgiving meal on Friday. It was a glorious 75ºF (~24ºC) so we spent a bit of time outdoors enjoying the yard and taking a nice post-dinner walk. Cleary Jayme had the better treats because Dash and Jasper wouldn't look at me. 😁
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
"I am in love with this world . . . I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."
John Burroughs
P.S I know the love runs deep because I pick up other people's toilet paper. Wish people were more respectful of this sacred land. Taken from my Yak ;-)
It is with great delight that I post this picture after thinking that I had lost everything due to a hard drive crash (photos are on a different drive so I knew the originals were safe). While I thought I had everything backed up, my back program wasn't working properly.
My brother worked his magic and after freezing the hard-drive, then keeping it on ice, after about 6 hours, we were able to copy the corrupted C-drive across to the new one, via a laptop, then a portable HD then back to my computer for almost complete recovery. Have had to reinstall everything, but so far so good.
There is a lesson in that for all of us!!
Hello All,
Earlier I had posted this as a Pectoral Sandpiper, but thankfully I've been told otherwise be a few of my Flickr Friends. I hate the idea of incorrect ID! I'm telling you, we have the best community of photographers that one could ever ask for! Thank you Michelle and Don!
I spotted this Greater Yellowlegs at the marsh and it graciously obliged and gave me several nice poses. I thought you might enjoy this one!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment. I really appreciate hearing from you! Have a wonderful day!

Thankfully, the laundry mountain from our holiday is now out of the way, so I can spend some time on here. I've had chance to take a quick look at uploads and select some favourites and hope to take a closer look later. We had a lovely time while we were away. Can you guess where we went?
Thankful that I had the time this year to visit pretty West Virginia in the Fall, thankful Mrs. Krach let me get up early and let her sleep letting me explore the highlands, thankful I was able to get up an hour before sunrise to get to this spot ... and thankful to have this glorious light and view to take in.
Also very thankful for the Canon engineers that make these captures digitally even possible, thankful for those that keep the internet powered each day so we can share, and thankful for everyone else out there that does their part in making societies around the world possible. We are all in this together, and make the world around us a better place.
Happy Thanksgiving Day!
On this Thanksgiving, we are feeling thankful to have family who are safe and healthy. Our daughter in PEI has power again and minimal damage to their home after hurricane Fiona hit them. The parks in PEI suffered greatly during that storm and camping there will not be the same for awhile. We are grateful that our country takes care of their parks so we can enjoy hikes like this one. I am also glad we are still able to do hikes and visits like this in our golden years. Take care of our earth everyone.
I spotted a Tufted titmouse eating a peanut right outside my window. I captured this photo just as it was bowing its head before it started to eat. This was taken in Northeastern PA.
Thanks everyone for your views, awards, comments, invites and faves.
*In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.*

“Brand and Logos” for #MacroMondays. This Elgin pocket watch belonged to my husband's great-grandfather. It looks well-used and, at increasing apertures, shows more and more wear.
Less than 2 inches /5 cm across.
My Flickr friend Conall noted the aperture phenomenon on my previous photo. But whattheheck, it's an old used antique watch ;-) I'm trying not to use shallow depth of field all of the time. f/18
