We have just come home from a surprise dinner sprung on us by our children to celebrate our wedding anniversary which is tomorrow -it certainly was a lovely surprise too as we aren't big on celebrations in this family :-)
So this is dedicated to our thoughtful sons :-)
I am overwhelmed with gratitude to the LORD for His goodness and steadfast love! He is so good and His love endures forever. I look at this sunset and the beautiful colors that enrobe the clouds and cover the sky and the many deer that were grazing in the field and I am so thankful knowing that in the midst of this crazy life we live that the LORD alone holds everything together. It was so special to be out and just enjoy time together. Also thankful to not have hit any of the 20 deer that ran out in front of my car. Have a blessed evening everyone filled with the Hope of Jesus!

Worth sheltering from the torrid rain, patients huh :) ...only needed a couple of seconds for the sun to appear . Thankfully the sun came out to say hello over this beautiful castle.
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Bob and I would like to wish you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving x
Photo shot at home
This bird is very difficult to approach
I succeeded to make some photos not to far (between 10m and 15m) this time. Thankfully in winter there is no leaf on branches. This time you can see the male.
Cet oiseau est très difficile à approcher j'ai réussi à faire quelques photos de pas trop loin (entre 10m et 15m) cette fois. Heureusement en hiver il n'y a pas de feuille sur les branches. Cette fois, vous pouvez voir le mâle.

Today I find myself feeling so thankful for all the rich blessings of life. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, dear Flickr friends! You truly add warmth and happiness to my life each and every day!
A trip to Northumberland will always yield something interesting to point the camera at! When I first turned up I was a bit unsure with what to do as there was no clouds… and i usually prefer high tide here… thankfully being there before the sun rose worked well… those of you who know my photography will know I shy away from having the sun directly in my shots… especially sunrises! The patterns of light and dark of the wet sand jumped out at me and I managed this and another couple of compositions before the fire ball turned up!
In life we should always take a moment and be thankful for the things that we have. Take nothing for granted, and enjoy the time you’re given.
I was just thankful that upon closer inspection, the unattached appendage did not have an opposable thumb.
Caracaras are members of the falcon family but are mostly carrion eaters, more similar to a vulture, which, coincidentally, may be the previous owner of the lost limb based on appearance. Seen at Quintana Beach near Freeport, Texas.
As I watched the sunset over Gettysburg the other night, I noticed these flowers in the breeze and was thinking about my daughter who means the entire world to me.
She turns 30 this year, which is a reminder of just how fast time goes by and that you should never pass up the opportunity to give your kids a hug, no matter how old they are.

Treasuring every second with this boy. A lot is confusing in my life right now. I feel so lost and afraid that I’ll make the wrong choices, especially when those choices can have consequences for Tyler. I need prayers so much right now please. That’s a terribly depressing Thanksgiving message I know. It’s just where I am today.
My friend Spirit wanted a profile pic for the PRIDE week in SL. Thankfully she loved it. Has it on Facebook too!!
Thank you for allowing me to take your picture - hugz
A wise person once told me ...
' focus on what we have, rather than looking at what is missing'
... how beautiful our minds are, to be table to take a concept, embrace it with whole heartedness, and find that it changes our entire outlook in the process.
I am thankful for all the people in my life who bring me many blessings and learnings

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
"I am in love with this world . . . I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."
John Burroughs
P.S I know the love runs deep because I pick up other people's toilet paper. Wish people were more respectful of this sacred land. Taken from my Yak ;-)
Being thankful I have a garden at this time, I've decided to try and bring you a shot from the garden everyday, regardless of subject matter!!
Could put lots of archive stuff on, but need a project to stop me going insane! Anybody else care to join in feel free!!
Never seen a Sparrowhawk fly over my garden before, but that said I've never really looked, who needs Abberton reservoir!!!!
I spotted a Tufted titmouse eating a peanut right outside my window. I captured this photo just as it was bowing its head before it started to eat. This was taken in Northeastern PA.
Thanks everyone for your views, awards, comments, invites and faves.
I flicked my camera over to Black and white mode for this shot. My settings were pre set with a profile of camera neutral BnW prior to the shot. Thankfully it worked a treat.
"For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise."
A Thanksgiving Hymn by Folliot S. Pierpoint
Happy Thanksgiving!
Wishing my American Friends a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.
~Melody Beattie~
So much to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving to my American Flickr friends.

I am thankful, not have been here at the time, when the earthquake took place and the ground sank down so deep! Destruction has drawn a dramatic and beautiful scene here! And next we will go down there!
The Sianok Canyon is located in the Minagkabau highlands in West - Sumatra, near Bukittinggi, and today it is a national park!.
The journey will be continued! Thanks for join and viewing!
The photo was taken in 1983 with my analog Nikon FE camera and 35mm slide film, and now scanned with Nikon Coolscan film scanner.
