Now I don't know about YOU....but I struggle sometimes with the aspect....."THAT GOD WILL PROVIDE WHAT WE NEED"...................yes I have faith....tremendous faith, sometimes it is all I cling to. But yet when life is very rough...I have moments where I lose my thoughts on when will this end??
Now this year has been a tremendous burden in many ways I will not devulge......BUT that brings me to the evaluation I tend to do............
I believe I have made and strenthened so many supportful friendships here among YOU ...the flickr fellowship that got me through a very rough year.
SO I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU DEAR FRIENDS.....YOU helped me more than you were not even aware and continue to. Bless you and yours on this day....and every day forward. My love goes out....my prayers go out...........to each and every one of YOU.

I Live a 5 minute walk to a lookout. It over looks Lake Huron. I would say that 5 out of 7 nights are like this. As you sit here, the scene changes every few minutes. I think of the many individuals who are no longer on this earth and thankful that I can be here to see this.

Again, another shot from the archives. This is Tulip Town, located in Skagit Valley, Washington state. All the various colors reminded me of a rainbow, so there ya go! I was so thankful for an overcast day: It made the tulips look especially vibrant! Hope you all enjoy!

I was just thankful that upon closer inspection, the unattached appendage did not have an opposable thumb.
Caracaras are members of the falcon family but are mostly carrion eaters, more similar to a vulture, which, coincidentally, may be the previous owner of the lost limb based on appearance. Seen at Quintana Beach near Freeport, Texas.
As I watched the sunset over Gettysburg the other night, I noticed these flowers in the breeze and was thinking about my daughter who means the entire world to me.
She turns 30 this year, which is a reminder of just how fast time goes by and that you should never pass up the opportunity to give your kids a hug, no matter how old they are.

While in Wyoming earlier this year we experienced wild fire smoke which somewhat obscured our views. Thus the distant mountains here are not as clear as I would like. After we got home to Seattle we really got a heavy dose of smoke. Thankfully we had rain in the last 24 hours that has mostly washed the smoke out of the air.

Long time Flickr friends Jayme and Dash came over for a Thanksgiving meal on Friday. It was a glorious 75ºF (~24ºC) so we spent a bit of time outdoors enjoying the yard and taking a nice post-dinner walk. Cleary Jayme had the better treats because Dash and Jasper wouldn't look at me. 😁
A 5am wake up call this morning to head out for 5Z37 ex Carnforth, when I forgot about the working 6C02. On my way to the spot I decided to check RailCam on the off chance it was something other than a shed, only to watch it pass BLS with this on it! With plenty of time to get here I knew it’d be the perfect spot for such a short train and the light was superb. Almost bowled by a pendo but I managed a cracker of Penelope thankfully and I am absolutely chuffed to bits. It’s rare to get a 57 on a train these days let alone the celeb one on a freight. Here she is passing Catterlen just north of Penrith,
Thankfully, the laundry mountain from our holiday is now out of the way, so I can spend some time on here. I've had chance to take a quick look at uploads and select some favourites and hope to take a closer look later. We had a lovely time while we were away. Can you guess where we went?

As the late December sun set over the Solent at Lepe yesterday I was thankful that my two Golden Retrievers, Dolly (14) and Dylan (3) had so enjoyed their day there with us.
I spotted a Tufted titmouse eating a peanut right outside my window. I captured this photo just as it was bowing its head before it started to eat. This was taken in Northeastern PA.

It is always a treat to catch up with one of these magnificent owls, and especially nice when they sit up for you. Thankfully this one seems to catch well and looks to be in reasonable condition given the awful persistent weather we have been having over the past couple of months :-)
I flicked my camera over to Black and white mode for this shot. My settings were pre set with a profile of camera neutral BnW prior to the shot. Thankfully it worked a treat.
