had too much time between Christmas and new Year so I started a new project. A new project top is already finished and I am now starting on the quilting.
i wished I had a machine which could do that, but mine cannot do it so I have to do it by hand. As a matter of fact I like to do it, but with a piece of 2 m x 2,5 m it is very difficult!
1st layer, fabric dye with different colours
2nd layer, using canting to draw flowers on the after the fabric dye is dry

Appearances Deceive is the first retrospective of Nuevomexicano artist Policarpio Valencia (b. 1853 – d. 1931), whose embroidered textiles contemplate the serious subjects of morality and mortality with wit and whimsy.

Quilt 2897, c 1780-90. This was donated by Miss Susan Smee. Quilted textiles from the 18th century - Indian textile trade. It has colourful cottons, silks and calicos. By 1750, India was the top trader of cheap but high quality dyed textiles.

This was my year 12 project. This was more of a textiles based project. However i have to design a totally different saree which would attract the customer. This tested my advertisement skills.
