I made this by following a pattern from one of my many textiles project books. Problem is I don't like wearing eye masks so I never put it on! It looks pretty hanging on my mirror though.

textiles, my interpretation of a whisk which was the object given to me at the start of the foundation course. this photo shows how i've translated the qualities of the whisk into pattern using different materials.
Work from Carleton Day Centre's Wednesday Art Group. A partnership project between Carlisle Day Services and Prism Arts. In this block of sessions we're exploring textiles and our theme is the Natural World. The work is on show at Carlisle Archives Centre during March. January-March 2017.

(A4 sketchbook) These sketchbook pages shows the starting point of my project theme in textile class. The colours of sea life is what attracted me to choosing the tropical underwater theme. These images and colours directly tie in with my final project and were great inspiration and reminders of what I was aiming for. I also included a small hand painted study of sea urchins the bottom right hand corner of the right page and a pencil study of fan coral at the top left hand corner of the left page.
