Once everything is laid out and ready to go, the nuno felting can begin. The first step is to gently rub the air out of the wool.
Working a nuno felt piece requires time and patience! We got the pieces lightly felted and once they were just beginning to wander, we steamed the rolled up piece for a few minutes in a big pot . Some of the ladies even microwaved their rolls so that the heat helped to felt during the fulling rock-n-rolling phase of felting!

Mari Nagy felt right at home in Denkingen because the Denkinger Filz organizers and friends took good care of her and made sure that she had plenty of delicious German food to eat! This community has a lot of hospitality!

These gorgeous rings feature a segment of an original Moyou pattern that I have personally designed laser cut into acrylic. This medium provides me with the perfect opportunity to transfer my textile designs into jewellery.
Pictured here is our installation at The Midwives Collective & Gallery show: REDefined.
We designed and handpainted the wallpaper panel (8ftx8ft) as well as the fabrics. The fabrics were first designed on paper, transferred to board and handpainted with gouache, scanned, then set into repeat and digitally printed onto a cotton/linen mix fabric. Then we upholstered a vintage chair and made pillows with these fabrics.
The piece on the table is a found vintage embroidered doily that was embroidered further with the mouse motif from our designs.
