I turned my phone off last night at around 10:43pm, and just turned it back on this morning. Amazingly, I received 65 new text messages and 5 voicemails from my family and friends. Most of the text messages were one of those batch text messages. They’re somewhat impersonal, but no matter! It was exciting to count every text message sound alert, going off one right after the other. The true feeling of Christmas!

I never clean my car... and Karachi is a dirty city, with a big population of eagles.... and I park my car under a tree inhibited by a family of eagles. They eat a lot, I can tell you.
I never clean my car... because I believe its a waste of precious water... and this is my protest against the general ignorance of people who take water for granted. But no one seem to get my point. No one seem to look past the dirt and shit on the car. I have been threatened, given donation money, been yelled at on street, offered money from beggars, disowned by my parents, so that I may wash my car. But I resisted.
Today at work, I received a call from a couple of my old colleagues from my previous whork, asking me to come down to the parking lot. That was odd. "What the fuck are they doing here?" I asked myself. Anyhow, so I went down to the parking lot.... and what I witnessed there was the single most excruciating sight I have seen in my recent life. Those fuckers had cleaned up my car.
Mother fuckers.
I hope you all get touched by monkeys and get AIDs and die.

The focus on this was really hard to get just right. So please excuse the blurry text message. I couldn't get it to focus any clearer.
I wrote this on the back of one of my journal entries for my advanced senior english class.

My mobile phone doesn't have a camera.
And it can't go on the internet.
It's just a phone, which is fine with me.
(It does have a torch though!)

This is the feature I expect to enjoy the most. No need to dig up the phone from my pocket, which is a pain with headphone cables and long winter jackets.
It will show about one SMS's lenght of characters, 160 or so, before truncating the message. The message above was about 3 SMS messages long, and it couldn't be scrolled (using the up & down buttons on the right) to more than 1/3 the way through. But of course this long SMS's are very rare and pointess anyway, so it will work great with normal everyday messaging.
Only problem is that to enable more apps, like Twitter/any app, to post notifications (like @messages) to your watch, iOS needs to be Jailbroken to brake a "Bluetooth barrier" by Apple. If you have an Android device, you might get more functionality out of your Pebble (but I haven't checked).
Online abuse targeting women has proliferated across all social media platforms but QUT researchers have developed a statistical model to help drum it out of the Twittersphere.
Associate Professor Richi Nayak, Professor Nicolas Suzor and research fellow Md Bashar from QUT have developed a sophisticated and accurate algorithm to detect these posts on Twitter, cutting through the raucous rabble of millions of tweets to identify misogynistic content.
