MINI ASSEGNINI
Nella seconda meta' degli anni Settanta, l' inflazione, i prezzi sempre piu' "arrotondati" sulle 50 e 100 lire, e l' aumento delle macchine automatiche in grado di "mangiare" spiccioli, fecero si' che si determinasse, carente la Zecca, una grave mancanza di monete metalliche. Le banche ricorsero a un sistema che aggiornava quanto si era fatto, nel corso dei secoli, per le monete di emergenza: emisero assegni, a nome proprio o di un grosso cliente, e a tagli fissi, inferiori alle mille lire. La gente li accetto' , chiamandoli miniassegni. Secondo gli esperti . fra loro primeggiava il cantante Guido Crepanzano, gia' del clan di Celentano . il primo miniassegno "storico" fu emesso dal San Paolo di Torino il 10 dicembre 1975: valeva cento lire, ed era intestato all' Associazione commercianti della citta' , che provvide a riformare i suoi soci. Esempio seguito dalla banca Sella di Biella, gia' "entrata in campo" con assegni normali un anno prima, e, ben presto, da tutti gli istituti di credito maggiori e minori. La gente non amava quei pezzetti di carta, ma fini' per preferirli a caramelle, francobolli e pastiglie di aspirina, dati come "resto" nei negozi.

Mini-assegni, un'idea degli anni '70
Dopo quasi 30 anni si torna a parlare dei mini-assegni, i piccoli titoli che a metà degli anni 70 si affiancarono di fatto per un paio d'anni alle monete. La nascita ed il fiorire dei mini assegni ha un'origine incerta. Il boom dei flipper e dei juke-box, ma anche l'arrivo dei primi distributori automatici che funzionavano a moneta: fu forse questa la causa dell'improvvisa carenza di spiccioli, anche se nessuno ha mai dato una motivazione precisa (si parlò anche di una grossa speculazione), che negli anni '75-'77 portò l'italia a studiare una soluzione fai-da-te per sopperire al problema. Alcune banche - ma perfino alcuni grandi magazzini - cominciarono a emettere assegni circolari per importi che variarono dalle 50 alle 350 lire.
I mini-assegni ebbero un lontano parente nella Germania post prima guerra mondiale: i Notgeld. I metalli erano stati usati per la fabbricazione delle armi e non ne era rimasto per le zecche. Ogni città, piccola che fosse, iniziò a stampare biglietti di banca con valori minimi. In pratica 'non soldi', proprio come i mini-assegni.
A metà degli anni '70 l'idea nacque da un'esigenza manifestata dalle associazioni dei commercianti, che fecero pressione sulle banche perché, vista la grave carenza di spiccioli, dare il resto era diventato un incubo. In quel periodo si usava di tutto, dalle caramelle alle penne, dai francobolli ai gettoni.
I titoli colorati, fragilissimi (bastava metterli nella tasca dei jeans per ritrovarli completamente scoloriti), e soprattutto più piccoli dei tradizionali assegni del libretto, furono subito chiamati mini-assegni. L'Italia di allora era lontana anni luce da quella odierna: il giornale costava 150 lire, il caffè al bar 100 e la benzina 305 lire. Un operaio guadagnava 154.000 lire al mese e l'inflazione superava il 19%. a capo del governo c'era Aldo Moro - sono gli anni del compromesso storico - e alla guida della confindustria Gianni Agnelli.
L'esperienza dei mini-assegni durò appena un paio d'anni. Il passaggio della zecca al poligrafico dello Stato consentì di far fronte alla necessità di piccoli tagli. Non pochi furono i problemi collegati alla circolazione dei mini-assegni che accelerarono la loro stessa fine, a partire dal fatto che spesso si era infranto il divieto di emettere assegni circolari al portatore.
I mini assegni si rivelarono in molti casi anche un affare per le banche perché una gran massa di titoli non venne mai incassata. Stampati su carta comune e di piccole dimensioni erano particolarmente soggetti allo smarrimento, si deterioravano facilmente e sparivano nelle tasche dei collezionisti. di dati ufficiali sul 'fenomeno' non ce ne sono, proprio perché nato da una tipica soluzione all'italiana. le stime approssimative indicano in oltre 30 le banche interessate all'emissione, quelle cioè autorizzate a emettere assegni circolari, anche se molte altre trovarono una scappatoia emettendo assegni tratti da loro clienti a favore di portatore. Il valore complessivo del circolante è valutabile in 200 miliardi di lire per 835 tipi diversi di questi particolari 'pezzi di carta'.
Kaepernick's incredible hypocrisy as the disgruntled victim and partaker of massive oppression is highlighted by the fact that he refuses to vote. The L.A. Times highlights that "Blacks and whites were beaten, busted and bitten by police dogs while marching for voting rights in the 1960s. Some were murdered." And Kaepernick's disregard for the right to vote is a slap in the face to all those that took practical steps to gain this right.
It's difficult to say whether Kaepernick is more of a spoiled brat or a conscious anarchist, or both equally. What should be noted is that the exaggerated victim mentality and the separation of people from their roots and their patriotism are things that Marxist Saul Alinsky advocated as a means towards a Marxist-Socialist revolutionary takeover:
"They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution."
A lot of people do not seem to understand the difference between valid altruistic activism with a clear and tangible goal and mere anarchy that causes division and denigrates authority. Hopefully, more people will wake up and understand the difference before it's too late. I worship God and not the NFL. I stand for the rights of all races and to honor all veterans that died for my freedoms. I do not kneel for anarchists that cause division with no clear plan or purpose. I love football but I love other things more. Goodbye NFL!

I have always had a planner fetish, or maybe its a planner obsession. Always on the lookout for the ultimate system. I have done the palm organizer, the paper planner and the computer application/online planner.
Nothing really seemed to work for me, but I think this might be it. I needed something to keep my dates, but also have a place to take notes. Something that was big enough for me to write on, but small enough to toss into my purse. I really, really like having a note page opposite each week, something I always imagined but never saw in the real world. Here is to an organized, happy 2007.

The original document on which this one is based was a sabotage manual produced by the United States Central Intelligence Agency for distribution in Nicaragua in the 1980’s. It was hoped that if enough disenfranchised individuals undertook activities that subverted economic stability, the Leftist government would be more easily overthrown. The manual described itself as “a practical guide to... paralyzing the military-industrial complex... without having to use special tools and with minimal risk for the combatant.”
It continues, “Some might think that today’s armed struggle requires military supplies and economic resources only available to states or terorist bands... There is an essential economic infrastructure that any government needs to function, which can easily be disabled or even paralyzed without the use of armaments or costly and advanced equipment, with the small investment of resources and time.
The folowing pages present a series of useful sabotage techniques, the majority of which can be done with simple household tools such as scissors, empty botles, screwdrivers, matches, etc. These measures are extremely safe and without risk for those who use them, as they do not require equipment, skill or specialized activities that can draw attention to the doer.
One combatant can perform many of them, without having to turn to collaborators or having to make a detailed plan beforehand. These are acts that can be done practically in an improvised way every time an occasion presnts itself. Our sacred cause needs to have more men and women join
