...but you sometimes feel it's more like a year. These little angels spent the whole day testing my patience, so at 5.30 O gave up and put them in their PJs, after which they sat down together and played nicely. Should have done it at midday!

My original plan today was to head out to Warren for my photo. I haven't been there in a while and I was in the mood for some black and white scenes. A detour on Route 114 abruptly changed those plans, though. I'm not sure why the main highway was completely blocked off, but Warren was suddenly inaccessible. Instead, I stopped at Haines Park in Barrington. I took several photos, mainly of some reflections in the cove, but this is the one I really liked as a black and white. The simplicity of the leaning pillar with a small tethered buoy appealed to me. The reflections of the large dock pilings on the right didn't hurt, either.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, color sensitivity sliders, boost black, boost white, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
S lent me his film SLR and I took a couple of rolls of expired FP4.
Scanning the prints rather than negs have given a bit of a flaky result but it shows me I might quite like this camera and its fully manualness.
Thanks, S
And thanks Rabidbee for the film.
