Willie Wouldhave tested his lifeboat model at South Shields beach in 1789. His friend and collaborator W A Hails wrote that the model was unsinkable and self righting. The model lifeboat in South Shields museum is almost certainly not Wouldhave's model as it is not self righting. This model was made from Hails description and it performed well in the test showing great stability and the ability to surf down waves as well as being self righting in all conditions.

PW trigger both camera and two remote flashes on for at the camera right at 1/2 power and one as a rimlight behind me (rider) at 1/1. f16/0,5 sec. Remote PW on 0,43 second delay to get rear curtain sync. flash placement was a bit tricky as was the timing of the delay.
