I am testing which cattail I like better, and am taking suggestions. My next print has 11 blocks including birds and cattails. This is just a small snippet. I need to carve out the beak on one of them and give the birds eyes.
Test casts from a rough, quick mold. The silicone got weird where the inner part touched the outer part, so the edges (especially the eyes) aren't that good. The resin is super pretty though.
This one is probably the closest to the real color, though in real life it is a bit darker and just slight pinker.

Shooting a test roll I bulk loaded.
I kinda "twatted it up" but it came good in the end.
First I had somehow managed to put the canister back together with the spindle the wrong way around (hopefully people who have bulk loaded film before will know what I am talking about).
The roll didn't fit into my XA4 (a big clue something wasn't right) but I stuck it into my EOS 5 instead. Somehow it fitted in and wound on (not sure how with the spindle poking out the wrong end) and I shot the whole roll.
Then I hit problem number 2, I hadn't taped the film to the spindle properly so it snapped off and failed to rewind - I had to use a changing bag to rescue it.
In the end though I developed the film and all the photos came out fine - phew!
I'm not so sure I like this gray. I figure, if it's going to be gray, might as well be aluminum, right?

Handheld
Testing the third lens that came with this camera, a Tokina f/4-5.6 70-210mm.
Inside a rather weirdly-lit pub, no flash, hand-held. And not really taking much pains cos I was convinced the lens would be completely naff given the state it was in when it came my way.
See "Oh dear!"
