Queensland Rail is implementing ETCS Level 2 on their network, and as part of this, equipment has been installed on the suburban Shorncliffe line for use as a test line. SMU276 was the first Queensland Rail unit fitted and ready for testing and is seen here at Shorncliffe station after the first ever ETCS Level 2 run on the Queensland Rail network, having run from Shorncliffe to Sandgate and return.
With the wide availability of Covid-19 vaccines in Southern California, this Bus Test Express (Say that three times fast!) had no test-takers Wednesday afternoon while in the parking lot of a busy Montclair shopping center.
