De Amerikaanse elektrische sedan, de Model S van Tesla, is immens populair in Nederland. Aan de ene kant jammer dat je ze nu bijna dagelijks tegenkomt, maar daarentegen fleuren ze wel het straatbeeld op met het prachtige design.

The American electric sedan, the Tesla Model S, is immensely popular in the Netherlands. You can see them daily now on the Dutch roads and at the charging points. A bit sad, because it isn't that special anymore right now, but the roads become a bit more beautiful by its gorgeous design.

Here is the charging port. Cleverly concealed in the tail lamp. Reminds me of how Ford worked the fuel door into the tail lamp shape of the Focus hatchback.

Although this second recolour of the Matchbox Tesla Model S never showed up in quite the same quantities as the original maroon version I was able to pick up a few from Morrisons back in the summer months of 2016 not long before they had to give up on MBX. Looking just as gleaming and slick as the first, this newer recolour carried on the realism and accuracy with its achingly stock looking casting and full array of great tampo work especially to lights and badging. The real vehicle is fast becoming a common sight over here making this miniature version all the more relevant to U.K. collectors. Mint and boxed.
