At the very end of the dunes stands the old watchman who do feels the tension and the unrest while he looks the surrounding at ease.
At his feet the tide is rising and the sea lips and murmurs slowly through the sand.
In the distance he hears the growling waves appoaching..........

Inland the wind picked up and it was as if the heaven leaden sky would compress everything in its way.
The reed bent so far as if it were trying to break free from the earth to flee.
The last rays of the sun would soon give way to a macabre darkness........

We don’t know how long the aliens have been here
Or what method they used to travel
We do know that they had watched enough human made movies
to know
if they were obvious
even while bringing peace
They would be murdered.
Humans don’t trust aliens.
So they settled down
playing the long con game
They took over our forests
They let us bring them into our houses
Just waiting…..and waiting….and waiting some more
Aliens don’t have the same concept of time
They were studious scientists
recording their observations
But now, the aliens are at their breaking point.
They have learned everything there is to know about us.
And what upsets them the most is how much
potential we waste
every day we are alive.
It is terrifying to think
such beings as humans exist.
The aliens are ready to return home now.
We didn’t realize the aliens were
giving us so much oxygen
and without them we will gasp our dying breaths.
We reduced them to prickly plants
who didn’t understand a thing about us.
It must be difficult to be an alien
Even harder to be human
Deserted by our best friends

Psalm 73:19 “How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete!”
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men
who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind
their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.
They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and
permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know, that the moment they fight back their lives
as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to
fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing
off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up
violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy
vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.
They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed
by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.
TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people's door, and they will
cry, scream, and beg for mercy...but it will fall upon the deaf
ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone. "
Early in the morning the sea and the wind reach their peak and it is like a wild orgasm of whipped high waves and drifting sand.

Job 3:5 “Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; Let a cloud dwell upon it; Let all that maketh black the day terrify it.”
A cold front swept over the village Saturday afternoon. The weather was keenly on my mind after watching scenes of the destructive tornadoes that struck Kentucky and other states the night before. Terrifying things tornadoes. The seeming randomness of their paths coupled with the fact that we are utterly defenseless against them. You can possibly move yourself out of the path (assuming you make the correct decision on whether to stay or go, and go the right way off you decide to flee). But there's no way to move your house to safety. Mind boggling to imagine your residence torn to splinters and the contents spread across miles. Makes me contemplate the fragility of the things we hold dear. And I count my blessings every time a tragedy like this occurs.
Back in the moment, I headed out on foot with my camera as the front approached. Winds had been gusty all morning. But they really unleashed their full fury as the afternoon wore on. I was buffeted by extreme winds as I made my way across open farmland without so match as a tree to interrupt the air flow. Very difficult to walk let alone hold still to take photos. Photography tends to become secondary dark at times like this. The weather often becomes totally immersive to the point where little else matters. The effect is compounded by being totally alone in desolate areas, not to mention the oppressive clouds and piercing cold. As I made my way back toward the woodlands, the sound of wind roaring through tree branches was appallingly loud. Put me in mind of a jet engine. This photo was snapped next to a stand of tall reeds just as a gust swept over. It's as dramatic a visual as anything I captured that day, perfect in its imperfection.
Would you believe me now if I told you I got caught up in a wave?
Almost gave it away
Would you hear me out if I told you I was terrified for days?
Thought I was gonna break
Oh, I couldn't stop it, tried to slow it all down
Crying in the bathroom, had to figure it out
With everyone around me saying, "You must be so happy now"
Oh, if you keep reachin' out
Then I'll keep coming back
And if you're gone for good
Then I'm okay with that
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
And I am finding out
There's just no other way
That I'm still dancing at the end of the day
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
And do you believe me now that I always had the best intentions, babe?
Always wanted to stay
Can you feel me now that I'm vulnerable in oh so many ways
And I'll never change
Oh, I couldn't stop it, tried to figure it out
But everything kept moving and the noise got too loud
With everyone around me saying, "You should be so happy now"
Oh, if you keep reachin' out
Then I'll keep coming back
And if you're gone for good
Then I'm okay with that
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
And I am finding out
There's just no other way
That I'm still dancing at the end of the day
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
I'll leave the light on, oh
Would you leave the light on?
If you keep reachin' out
Then I'll keep coming back
But if you're gone for good
Then I'm okay with that
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
And I am finding out
There's just no other way
That I'm still dancing at the end of the day
If you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
(Light on, light on, light on)
Oh, if you leave the light on
Then I'll leave the light on
Oh, if you leave the light on

A Shikra (Accipiter badius) was intensely watching underneath movements of probable victim for the taking with merciless eyes. Its cold look was enough to stop the heart bit of any prey! I was greatly impressed by the tough personality of the raptor and luckily got the perfect angle with good light to frame it. Pics was taken from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India.

In your arms,
I'm in my safe haven.
With you holding me tight,
I have no other craving.
All I need,
Is that one look,
That says you're always there,
Just like in a fairy-tale book.
Your eyes talk to me,
as the world stands still.
My once empty heart,
now with love does fill.
Your eyes tell me,
that you'll love me every day.
No matter what may come,
You'll be there to stay.
If only I could explain,
how much love I have for you.
Just know that I'd cross oceans of time
To tell you that always and forever
That I'll be yours if you'll be mine.
OK maybe tiny dragon buttons are probably not so terrifying .

Halloween excites me like no other holiday. It's one of those primordial feelings, deeply rooted in childhood memories. The utter excitement of celebrating fear and darkness. Of dark thoughts being brought out into the open, if just for one night. Now many years past my youth and the sheer joy of costume-wearing and trick-or-treating, I'm still caught up in these feelings. I watched in fascination yesterday afternoon as kids in costumes prowled the streets. Some quite imaginative, other less so. But all infused with that playful energy that I recall so vividly. Kids seem to have transitioned away from horrific monster sort of costumes of my day. But that's really doesn't matter; the festive, celebratory aspect remains intact. Laughter and bright colors filled the ever lengthening shadows, both of the landscape as well as my mind. Time has a way of dampening the mind, blotting out memories. But Halloween in this case brought them flowing back. Adults seem to rekindle their own memories watching children retrace their steps in life. As a kid the most terrifying thoughts were centered on scenes such as this creepy pumpkin head-scarecrow hybrid. I loved (and still do) the thought of something like this standing silent vigil out in some desolate location. Nothing abjectly terrifying about this puppet-like creation, yet the context of presentation is darkly disturbing. It's as if this tattered and grimy thing has been waiting for me all these years since childhood. In fact I'm certain it waits for me still.

I took this picture a few weeks back during the raising of the flag by Rochelle firefighters during the town's Lincoln Highway Days celebration. They used a ladder truck and fortunately the wind cooperated, unfurling our nation's flag perfectly.
I remember the events of September 11th vividly, it was shocking how it slowly played out and it became more terrifying with each passing minute...

Long-billed Dowitchers probe deeply into mud or sand with an up-and-down motion likened to the needle of a sewing machine. They tend to forage in water less than about 3 inches deep. On the breeding grounds, males sing from high in the air over the territory.

I took the photo of this Rosella today, it is almost as though he is asking a question...what have you hoomans done to my world! ...of course he isn't asking any such thing, I'm using his pose as a symbol... but I have to say something, people have lost their lives, homes have been destroyed by the savagery of the inferno engulfing many parts of Australia including the vast forests filled with unique creatures in their thousands, it is heartbreaking.
There were fires early in spring here in Queensland but not at the moment.
There are heroes out there though, they are the hundreds of Fire Services people and volunteer fire fighters, unbelievably difficult and dangerous and terrifying in all areas. Our heartfelt thanks go out to them.
"Then she was terrified, and wanted to fling off the red shoes, but they clung fast; and she pulled down her stockings, but the shoes seemed to have grown to her feet. And she danced, and must dance, over fields and meadows, in rain and sunshine, by night and day; but at night it was the most fearful.
She danced over the churchyard, but the dead did not dance--they had something better to do than to dance. She wished to seat herself on a poor man's grave, where the bitter tansy grew; but for her there was neither peace nor rest; and when she danced towards the open church door, she saw an angel standing there. He wore long, white garments; he had wings which reached from his shoulders to the earth; his countenance was severe and grave; and in his hand he held a sword, broad and glittering.
"Dance shalt thou!" said he. "Dance in thy red shoes till thou art pale and cold! Till thy skin shrivels up and thou art a skeleton! Dance shalt thou from door to door, and where proud, vain children dwell, thou shalt knock, that they may hear thee and tremble! Dance shalt thou--!"
"Mercy!" cried Karen. But she did not hear the angel's reply, for the shoes carried her through the gate into the fields, across roads and bridges, and she must keep ever dancing."

😱OMG, you won’t believe what just happened! What was supposed to be the ultimate luxury getaway turned into a living nightmare on Party Island. I’m seriously shook!!! This experience was beyond terrifying, and I’m just lucky to be alive right now.
The party started out as a dream, but it quickly spiraled into something out of a horror movie. I can’t even begin to describe how intense and horrifying it was... but trust me, you’ll want to hear every chilling detail. I’m counting the minutes until I can get home and spill the tea on everything that went down.
For real, guys, make sure you’re following www.facebook.com/MadPea/ because you do not want to miss the full story. This is one for the books.

Rangda is the demon queen of the Leyaks in Bali, according to traditional Balinese mythology. Terrifying to behold, the child-eating Rangda leads an army of evil witches against the leader of the forces of good — Barong. Her face is traditionally a horrifying fanged and goggle-eyed mask, with a long, protruding tongue.

A Moniter Lizard, taken at Taronga Park Zoo. They are truly beautiful animals, but it would be terrifying to meet one in the wild.
It terrifies you, doesn't it? It scares you to love someone like that. Someone who is so much of a storm. There are moments she will be quiet, they are rare, but most of the time she will be fire. You have to expect that she will fight you and love you at the same time. It'll feel like loving the hurricane. -unknown
