Seen in King Street in Oldham displaying the old 184 destination of Uppermill. The 184 no longer comes this far out, nor are any scheduled to terminate in Uppermill. The 184 has been cut short to run between Oldham and Huddersfield only, along with the 180 which will now run between Greenfield and Oldham only, and have a frequency cut to ever hour and no longer run in the evening. The 84 is the replacement for the 184 to Manchester running up to every 10 minutes between Groton and Manchester, and every half hour to Uppermill. It also runs every half an hour to Uppermill in the evening which is an improvement on the 184 which was every hour to Uppermill.

This has to be my all time favorite Neca figure so far.

I'm not really sure if this is a Saturnine pattern indeed, in fact there is no official image of this pattern. But there was once a miniature that was said to be just that. It dates back to Rouge Trader Era and may be referred to as Terminator Armor Mk.I

More recent images of it look something like this. I found it to be quite an interesting design to try in Lego. It's not too accurate, but I hope I caught the shape just about right. It matches the size of my "normal" WH40K Terminators (Indomitus Pattern).

Casa Batlló is a renowned building located in the center of Barcelona and is one of Antoni Gaudí’s masterpieces. A remodel of a previously built house, it was redesigned in 1904 by Gaudí and has been refurbished several times after that. Gaudí's assistants Domènec Sugrañes i Gras, Josep Canaleta and Joan Rubió also contributed to the renovation project. The local name for the building is Casa dels ossos (House of Bones), as it has a visceral, skeletal organic quality.

Like everything Gaudí designed, it is only identifiable as Modernisme or Art Nouveau in the broadest sense. The ground floor, in particular, has unusual tracery, irregular oval windows and flowing sculpted stone work. There are few straight lines, and much of the façade is decorated with a colorful mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles (trencadís). The roof is arched and was likened to the back of a dragon or dinosaur. A common theory about the building is that the rounded feature to the left of centre, terminating at the top in a turret and cross, represents the lance of Saint George (patron saint of Catalonia, Gaudí's home), which has been plunged into the back of the dragon.

Another model inspired by the WH40K world.

Different from the others, with scythe in his hands, fur on his back and big shoulder pads.

I tried to use a new frame for the torso and arms.

Yet another render waiting to build them in physically!

A micro build of the truck chase scene from Terminator 2 movie.

Based off Emilia Clark's portrayal of Sarah Connor in Terminator Genysis. Firstly even though the film has recieved many negative reviews, I went in with an open mind, and enjoyed it more than I expected. Anyway to the figure, Hairpiece is painted yellow ochre with brown dry brush. Sabine headpiece with painted eyebrows and blood. Torso is painted on a plain black piece, and is accurate to her appearance near the end of the film. Yet again the figure is suffering from in accurate weapons, as I cant get hold of any brickarms etc. Overall the best from my Genysis figures, but let me know what you guys think.

NASA release date June 21, 2011

The terminator of Mercury, shown here in color, is the line between light and dark, or day and night. On Mercury, three days are equivalent to two years, or in other words, the planet spins around its axis three times for every two orbits around the Sun. The first Mercury year of the MESSENGER mission ended on Monday, June 13, 2011.

This image was acquired as part of MDIS's color base map. The color base map is composed of WAC images taken through eight different narrow-band color filters and will cover more than 90% of Mercury's surface with an average resolution of 1 kilometer/pixel (0.6 miles/pixel). The highest-quality color images are obtained for Mercury's surface when both the spacecraft and the Sun are overhead, so these images typically are taken with viewing conditions of low incidence and emission angles.

The MESSENGER spacecraft is the first ever to orbit the planet Mercury, and the spacecraft's seven scientific instruments and radio science investigation are unraveling the history and evolution of the Solar System's innermost planet. Visit the Why Mercury? section of this website to learn more about the key science questions that the MESSENGER mission is addressing. During the one-year primary mission, MDIS is scheduled to acquire more than 75,000 images in support of MESSENGER's science goals.

Like many people, I am having to post photos from my archives as I have been basically staying home, away from everyone and everything (apart from food shopping and maybe three or four short drives out of the city over the last few weeks).

I can't add any information about the crisis the whole world is in right now, as Flickr has threatened to terminate my account. This is because I was adding information about the present situation in the descriptions under the photos I am posting from my archives! I still don't understand why this was "wrong" and I have not heard back from Flickr after I sent an Appeal email to them. When I post archive photos, I add the descriptions from previously posted photos, taken on the same outings, to remind myself of where I went and what I saw. Stay safe and well, everyone!

"On 11 July 2019, it turned out to be such a great day, with some much-appreciated sightings. I must have spent about 9 hours driving and almost every inch of my body ached like crazy at the end of it. Total distance driven was 461 km, leaving home at 8:45 am and arriving back home 12 hours later, at 8:45 pm. Now, each summer, I try and do two or three longer (for me) drives, to make sure I don't lose the courage to do this.

Weather-wise, it was a beautiful, sunny day, with plenty of white clouds Unlike when I did this drive in August 2018, there was no smoke from any wildfires, thank goodness.

It was a good day for Hawks, seeing some on the way south and a few on the way home. I did spot one Ferruginous Hawk, but it was perched on a very distant fence post. I'm also wondering if one of the 'hawks' was actually an immature Golden Eagle - seen in photo #4 posted this morning. (NOTE: yes, it was a Golden Eagle!). I saw it from a fair distance and I remember thinking what a large hawk it was. Stopping at an angle in the middle of the road, I managed to get one shot before it took off and a couple just as it was doing so.

A couple of Common Nighthawks also helped make my day. For several years, I had longed to see one of these unusual birds and, finally in 2017, I managed to find four of them. In 2018, I was able to find just one. These birds are 9½ inches from the tip of bill to the tip of tail. Very strange looking birds, and always a thrill to see one.

My actual destination on 11 July 2019 was the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre, near Lethbridge. I know some people feel that photographing birds that are not out in the wild is cheating. I kind of agree, though I think it's fine as long as someone says where a photo was taken.

This Centre is a wonderful place that rehabilitates and releases (whenever possible) various birds of prey - hawks, owls, Bald Eagles, Turkey Vultures, and Golden Eagles. Some of these birds act as Wildlife Ambassadors, too, including educating the public away from the Centre. Sometimes, a bird is used as a foster parent, too.

I love the changing scenery as one drives south, and my drive was timed perfectly to catch the golden Canola fields. Maybe half way, I pulled over to take a few photos of an old barn and there was a truck just pulling away. I thought the guy might have been taking photos, too. We got talking and one of the things we both said was that we had never seen a blue field of Flax Later in my drive, guess what I found : ) Looked beautiful, with blue on one side of the road and a field of yellow Canola on the opposite side.

This was definitely a rewarding day, full of sightings of all kinds. My favourite kind of day!"

Beware they are unstoppable.

WIP: a couple of figures inspired by the WH40k White Scars Terminators.

I hope to build them really soon.

Thanks to Garry for great inspiration that its models gave to me.

Arriva North East - Sapphire 6 liveried - Dennis Trident 2/Alexander Enviro 400 - NK09 FVR is seen here at Durham, Millburngate making an unusual appearance on service 56 to Bishop Auckland Bus Station on December 30th 2015.

Enviro 400's 7519/7520/7521 along with ten VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2's which were transferred from Arriva North West were refurbished to Sapphire specification for service 6 which runs every 12 minutes during Monday-Saturday daytimes serving Durham, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland and West Auckland with two journeys per hour extending to terminate at Cockfield, Hollymoor Road End.

A series on flying along the terminator. Crazy that on one side of our flight path, Earth is in the sunlight, but if I look on the other side I see darkness and shadows… yet it’s very simple geometry. Notice how the clouds make shadows too. Soyuz and Progress both docked proudly to the Space Station too. 4 years ago on this today I was leaving the Space Station in the Soyuz spacecraft MS-03 with Oleg Novitsky. The Soyuz pictured here (closer to camera and with a green periscope used to target the docking) is Soyuz MS-18 – 15 spacecraft have been built and flown since our last mission together. This shows the regular and reliable commute to space Soyuz offers. This Soyuz MS-18 is extra special because it has been named after Yuri Gagarin, 60 years ago the first person to enter Earth orbit. It is touching to think that Yuri, Oleg and myself all had similar views of our planet, the clouds and sunsets have hardly changed.
