Edit from a photo I took long ago. I zoomed in on the avatars. One of they key thing I try to capture in photos are expressions. It is specially hard with avatars, but when it works, it really makes the photo take new dimensions.
While waiting for a clear shot of the Torii Gates at the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, I saw this loving couple with the gentleman tenderly guiding the lady through the gate. It is such a beautiful sight that I had to get a snapshot of this couple. While I did not get any clear shot of the gate, I was delighted to be able to come away with this photo.

Happy New Year everyone! We just got back from Canada for the holidays for some family time. Didn't get out with the camera, but had some wonderful visits with my relatives up north.
I have been going through my photos from last year looking for a few overlooked images. I found this tender moment between two Black-necked Stilts.
