I am widening the range of my auto park. This time, it`s heavy equipment: a lowboy trailer for my MAN truck and a telehandler.
The trailer functions as the real one with a detachable neck. It is very sturdy and built to withstand the weight of a telehandler (and even 3 of my car models stacked on each other). The telehandler features an extendable boom and steering for both front and rear pairs of wheels, replicating the mechanics of the real vehicle.

I’m a big fan of cargo-hauling and industrial equipment. A long time ago, I built a lowboy trailer for my MAN truck and a telehandler as its cargo load for transport. Since then, the model has been sitting untouched on my shelf. I was never fully satisfied with the solutions I used back then – the rear was too fragile, and the main boom couldn’t hold even the smallest weight. Recently, I decided it was time to revamp the model and address these issues. So, let me introduce you to its upgraded version!
The yellow color scheme was accented with some light orange to imitate the worn-out look of used machinery. The boom has been significantly improved – it can now hold more weight and remains stable, even when fully extended. The weakest link now is the ratchet piece, which will give out before the boom does.

BTS Train Model Project
CEA were employed to receive, transport and unload three 40ft HC containers form Japan. Each container contained parts of a full scale wooden model of a Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) car. The model was to be put on display at the BTS Headquarters in Bangkok.
CEA received the containers at Laem Chabang port and facilitated all the necessary customs paperwork. The containers were loaded on to flatbed trailers and transported to the BTS site in Bangkok.
A 55 t mobile crane, a 3.5 t Forklift, a 5 t Telehandler and Hiab truck also made the journey to Bangkok as these would be used for unloading and unstuffing the containers.
Upon arrival in Bangkok CEA began the unloading and unstuffing procedure. The parts were moved to a purpose built display area for erection.
CEA assisted in the erection of the model alongside a specialised design team from Japan. After the model was complete CEA demobilized all the equipment and returned to Laem Chabang.

This JCB 516-56 Telehandler is bound for export to North America. Instead of the standard factory finish of JCB yellow, it is sporting the bright green of Sunbelt Rentals - a North American equipment rental company.
Note the none-air tyres.
The JCB factory is few miles up the road from where this photo was taken.
