I’m a big fan of cargo-hauling and industrial equipment. A long time ago, I built a lowboy trailer for my MAN truck and a telehandler as its cargo load for transport. Since then, the model has been sitting untouched on my shelf. I was never fully satisfied with the solutions I used back then – the rear was too fragile, and the main boom couldn’t hold even the smallest weight. Recently, I decided it was time to revamp the model and address these issues. So, let me introduce you to its upgraded version!
The yellow color scheme was accented with some light orange to imitate the worn-out look of used machinery. The boom has been significantly improved – it can now hold more weight and remains stable, even when fully extended. The weakest link now is the ratchet piece, which will give out before the boom does.
I’m thrilled with how the updated version turned out and hope you enjoy the model as much as I do. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

On this small scale, I couldn't build working side supports for the vehicle. Instead, they are extended/ shortened by adding/ removing parts. The extendable boom, however, works.
The Manitou Telehandler became a see-saw today when loaded with a pallet of bricks and fully extended. Note the back wheels well off the ground.
Selective colour to bring out the orange of the machine and our red Devon soil. It has started raining again.

A Minifig scale Telehandler.
Telescopic boom with forklift or bucket attachments. Feature a 3 wide cab.
Yeah, it's done, it's finally over! For a while I promised myself to build something else than trucks. I thought of some heavy equipment. A while back I made a tracked dumper , a bulldozer and a wheelloader .
In the street where I work there is a company who uses telehandler and I really wanted to build one!
This one was way harder than the previous. The chassis was done is an hour, and then I really didn't know how to continue. It took me well over a year to to come back to this project, but now I wanted it finished for a show in Goes this weekend. So I got myself together again and in one evening it was finished.

Often in many countries, agricultural and drivable machinery get their own special plates, which often differ from the standard plate series. I was rather excited about spotting this Manitou telehandler with Estonian 'special vehicle' plate, which follows the 'XX 9999' or '9999 XX' format. There is no doubt that this plate type is probably incredibly rare to spot outside of the Baltics.

More mirrors than on a Mod’s scooter - well maybe not. However, a fine array of ‘reflective devices’ aids the driver of the tele-handler as he stacks bales of hay in a barn.

I happened to walk past Platts Harris in Tuxford and spotted this New Holland telehandler. I don't normally get interested with tractors and things but this was fascinating.
I would not like the bill for replacement tyres on this but I guess that they will last a long time.
