TEE LAKE SUNRISE
Something different for a change. Took a drive to this lake with friends this morning. It lies approximately 20 minutes north west of Deep River, Ontario, Canada. Did you that the province of Ontario has more than 250,000 lakes...that’s amazing!

Looking more towards the north through the bare branches of the Chinese Pistachio tree. The local Little Wattlebirds like to sit there and call in the morning.
Stanier '5MT' 4-6-0 45212 makes a fine sight on Yarm viaduct as it crosses over the River Tees heading 'The Whitby Flyer', 1Z50 0600 London Kings Cross to Whitby on Wednesday 19th March 2025.

Mit historischer Beschriftung als Trans-Europ-Express ist ein VT 11.5 unterwegs bei Weißenthurm Richtung Koblenz. Anlaß waren die Feierlichkeiten zum 2000jährigen Stadtjubiläum Bonn (Scan vom Dia).

The 100 year old transporter bridge across the River Tees at Middlesbrough is still in regular use after recent refurbishment..
Am 29. Dezember 2025 ist der AKE-TEE geführt von der "besonderen" 101 001 des DB-Museums mal wieder auf großer Tour aus dem deutschen Westen in den Süden der benachbarten Alpenrepublik. Vermutlich durch einen verspäteten Start in Dortmund hat der Zug im Filstal zwischen Süßen und Gingen über eine Stunde Verspätung.
Wohl ob der am Ende der langen Wagenkette mitarbeitenden 193 ist die rot-beige Maschine vorne aufgebügelt.

Een opvallende verschijning in Woerden op 14 oktober 1988: een voormalig TEE-treinstel van de Deutsche Bundesbahn (601 014 met achter de niet zichtbare 019) brengt leden van een Duitse kegelclub naar Den Haag voor een weekendje aan de kust. Het treinstel is een mooi voorbeeld van vormgeving in de jaren vijftig van de vorige eeuw. Aan het einde van hun carrière maakten de populaire 'Dieseltriebzüge' onder meer trips naar vakantiegebieden in Duitsland.

CJ said a number of DB66s were pictured stored in Tees Yard over the weekend, so as I was passing within 1/2 mile on the way home from Hartlepool it would be rude not to have a nosey. The sun was just setting and light was bouncing off the loco sides.

The three other locos lined up behind the gypsum wagons were headed up by 66097 which had worked up to Skinningrove two days earlier, so presumably not stored.
This town suits me perfectly I love living here - it's so much to see and capture.
Funfact:
You can use "to a T" or "to a tee" to mean perfectly or exactly right. For example, if something suits you to a T, it suits you perfectly. If you have an activity or skill down to a T, you have succeeded in doing it exactly right.
Am 4. Juli 2018 verließ die 113 309 mit dem TEE von Koblenz Hbf nach Dresden und Görlitz den Bahnhof von Bielefeld und ist hier am Morgen im Vorbahnhof zu sehen.

From 1957 to 1987, cross-border trains of high-quality operated in Europe under the name Trans-Europ-Express and connected the most important cities with each other. The network stretched from Spain to Denmark and from Holland to Austria. There was no standard vehicle, and each country endeavored to develop and use interoperable cross-border vehicles. The trains, most of which were locomotive-hauled, had to be reserved and only had first-class seats.
In addition to the German, French and Italian wagons, the majority of trains in Switzerland were Swiss-made multiple units. For example, RAm TEE type diesel multiple units were used on non-electrified lines to Amsterdam, Paris and Munich and RAe TEE II on the electrified lines to Milan and Paris. Only 5 of each type were built.
The RAe TEE shown here is the last survivor of this era in Switzerland. The RAe TEE II was reconditioned by SBB Historic and is now occasionally used for special trips throughout Switzerland.
