A class 37 potters south in February 1982. I cannot remember exactly where this was, the best I can come up with is Mary Street (now identified as Marlborough Street, see comment below).

From 1957 to 1987, cross-border trains of high-quality operated in Europe under the name Trans-Europ-Express and connected the most important cities with each other. The network stretched from Spain to Denmark and from Holland to Austria. There was no standard vehicle, and each country endeavored to develop and use interoperable cross-border vehicles. The trains, most of which were locomotive-hauled, had to be reserved and only had first-class seats.
In addition to the German, French and Italian wagons, the majority of trains in Switzerland were Swiss-made multiple units. For example, RAm TEE type diesel multiple units were used on non-electrified lines to Amsterdam, Paris and Munich and RAe TEE II on the electrified lines to Milan and Paris. Only 5 of each type were built.
The RAe TEE shown here is the last survivor of this era in Switzerland. The RAe TEE II was reconditioned by SBB Historic and is now occasionally used for special trips throughout Switzerland.

The Tees Tyne Boggard was one of many railtours for the class 40's at their end of service. This Herefordshire Railtours charter started from KX and went to Toton via Retford. The 40's took over at Toton and then went up to Hartlepool.
40181 and 40122 pause at Bottesford West Junction box before taking the former GNR branch up to Newark.
A Short-eared Owl appears out of the blue & begins quartering the rough grass surrounding a local golf course, for prey - one evening this week.
Always a joy to watch, these birds.

Activity on the beach and golf course provided us with plenty of entertainment while waiting for this northbound train at St Bees
It is a daunting shot between the trees off the tenth tee at Skidby Lake Golf Course, near Hull.. The fairway cambers to the right where trouble lurks with a ditch and bushes.

WSOR 4053's headlights pierce through the evening fog as Carl and his two conductors switch the elevator southwest of Whitewater.
Black 5 45212 heads for York with the return leg of 'The Whitby Flyer', passing over a calm river Tees at Yarm. Having tried and failed to find a viewpoint on the other bank of the river, I got to this point on the other side with the footpath closed. Unsure I how much time I had I opted to stay put rather than follow the diversion, managing this shot as the result.
Op 28 maart 1977 vertrokken twee ex-NS/SBB TEE-treinstellen vanuit Rotterdam naar Canada. Met behulp van een drijvende bok werd één van de rijtuigen aan boord van de onder Noorse vlag varende ms 'Wolfgang Russ' aan de Prinses Margriethaven gehesen.

Viewed from the first tee at Hunley Golf Club, Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66547 eases away from the token exchange at Crag Hall Box and begins the 1 in 66 climb to Hunt Cliff working 6F32, the 09:27 Boulby Mine – Middlesbrough (FHH) loaded potash hoppers on 24th October 2024. The track to the left of the box goes into Skinningrove Steel Works while the double track (passing loop) is the line to Boulby Mine.
