The strange light effect happened by chance. A fancier camera wouldn't have been better in this case.
This scene (in the Portrait Gallery in DC) kinda made me chuckle. An older couple in front of a myriad display of technology. Not that older folks can't appreciate or use technology, but I do think it's just so different for them. Almost like they don't understand why our generation seems to rely on it so much. I think I'm (mostly) on their side :)

Global Technology Retreat 2024 in San Francisco, USA, 30 May 2024
Lord Drayson, Minister for Science and Innovation, left, with Mark Elton from ECD Architects, during his visit to one of the projects in Eltham, south east London for the launch of the Technology Strategy Board’s ‘Retrofit for the Future’, a programme, the first of its kind in the UK, which will see social housing units across the country retrofitted with new, innovative technologies. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Picture date: Thursday February 25, 2010. Eighty seven social housing projects across the UK are set to benefit from a share of £17 million of government funding to test low carbon building technology. Understanding and implementing best practice retrofitting is key to meeting the government’s CO2 reduction target of 80% by 2050. The results of the projects will be shared to help show how the UK’s current housing stock could be made more energy efficient. Photo credit should read: Matt Faber/PA Wire
