I just ran this Nokia tool to connect my PC to my phone and this is the only bluetooth device it found. I'm at work right now, so it's a bit disconcerting that someone so close to me (in proximity) would name their device this, even as a joke.

From Stand-up to Start-up: Growing Girl Techies and Entrepreneurs

There aren't enough women techs and CEOs. University professor and entrepreneur Luz Cristal has observed how hard it is to get girls involved in science and technology. Many of her female students feel intimidated or insufficiently qualified to participate. Girls need to learn, even before they enter school and are shown what girls ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’ do, so they can succeed in these fields. Luz Cristal believes we need to give girls the confidence to believe they can do anything; 3D-print an engine, create software, or start a company. She teaches girls to think like entrepreneurs—by anticipating needs, innovating, creating, and taking calculated risks. When girls are exposed to entrepreneurial thinking, a profound change takes

place; they learn to problem solve, think critically and creatively, and become more confident in their ability to tackle challenges.

A: Wear Vulcan ears and camwhore.

In this OOTD I am wearing a drunk face, blue DKNY glasses that I <3, MORE drunk face, an Alice in Wonderland Cheshire cat tee from Urban Outfitters, a necklace that's one of those necklaces you put a picture in (the name defeats me right now), except one side is a watch, from Urban Outfitters, Vulcan ears (actually Woochie Small Space Ears) and ... MORE DRUNK FACE.

I'd like to give a shoutout to Mozilla cause they're watching my back and checking my spelling.

Sorry to everyone on my contacts. I am blogging this and didn't want to use the FTP.

O and sorry for the mirror pictures. I hate mirror pictures. But I didn't want to set up the tripod.

Has anyone else been suffering with some techy issues with Flickr lately? In the past few days, I've experienced trouble with freezing pages, loss of stats and total meltdown of the Aviary editing software. I don't like Aviary fuill stop, it has very little of the attributes that Picnik had and it's a nightmare to use. I'm sure the Flickr gang are trying to improve it, but they have a long way to go. Right now, for me at least it may as well not be there. Damn you Google, damn you to hell for buying Picnik and closing it down. Tosspots.

Anyway, this is 60091 on 6E55 Theale-Lindsey discharged tanks, disturbing sleepy Dorridge as it gets in it's stride after a signal check.

Trying to do some 'techy, but not techy' shots for brighthandit.co.uk

During NTEN's 2008 Non-profit Technology Conference a group of techies participated in several volunteer projects to bring technology to communities battered by the 2005 Katrina hurricane.

My group, comprised of consultants, non-profit workers, and Cisco Systems, traveled to a community center in St. Bernard Parrish to install wireless access points. St. Bernard Parrish was the hardest hit during the flood - only 6 houses were left standing out of 25,000 when the water rose 25 feet in 23 minutes.

It was an honor to be able to provide some help to this community and I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk with residents and keep the hope and momentum of positive work flowing.
