Mercy is almost always the first one to the ball when I throw it and she catches it or picks it up and then gives it to Deja to return to me. It's funny, she used to do the same with Judd, only he would just stand nearby and she would bring the ball all the way back and put it right in his mouth and he would bring it the last few feet to me, expecting a treat every time. Deja (thus far) enjoys the chase and sometimes beats Mercy to the ball, but when he doesn't, he still gets to return it to me and collect a treat. The treat for Mercy is having the ball thrown again.

The Algonauts again. Note that they've essentially split into two groups of two here, with Andy and Daniel working on the computer on the left while Tyler and Scott discuss other problems away from the (single) computer available to the team.

Sago Palm (Metroxylon) is far more productive than rice, producing four times more starch, 100-200 kg per palm, enough to feed a family of 4-5 for a month. And it is the least labour-intensive starch to harvest. It takes one person 10 days to process a palm, faster if a group works on it. Sago is the staple carbohydrate for many people in Southeast Asia, Oceania and Pacific Islands where Sago Palms are found.

Teamwork is a big part of the Oregon National Guard wildfire cleanup operations at the Grizzly Bear Complex Fire near Elgin, Oregon, Sept. 3, 2015. Approximately 375 Soldiers and Airmen were split into three separate teams and deployed to different fire camps throughout the state to support firefighting efforts. The Oregon National Guard has an ongoing agreement with the Oregon Department of Forestry known as Operation Plan Smokey, which stipulates the details of how Oregon National Guard members will be utilized to assist in firefighting efforts. This agreement is reviewed by both agencies annually to remain up-to-date for each fire season. (Photo by Jason van Mourik, Oregon Military Department Public Affairs)

part of the challenge course teamwork objective at 4th grade environmental camp - they had to try to fit their entire team onto this little square box and stay there long enough to sing "mary had a little lamb".

I would have liked to have gotten this from a slightly different angle where the pole on the far left wasn't blocking part of the shot. But I was standing on top of a playground set, when I saw Sydney trying to help Jessie by pushing her. There was no other vantage point from up there. I had to shoot it...it was too cute. Especially cute because Sydney had no idea that as she let go of the swing, it was going to swing back and knock her over. :D lol

Everyone has been hard at work decorating the Christmas cake.

Leiff: Will we have enough stars?

Rolly: We will if you stop eating them.

Leiff: I only eat the ones with the broken points.

John: Yes but how do they get broken??
