Mini teacup hat, made from my own pattern.

This was so much fun to make, it's just ridiculously cute and silly and fun <3

Close-up of something that amazed me as a child. The geisha in the bottom of the teacup really showed up well with dregs of tea or coffee. When I get time, I plan to replace this with one that really shows her off.

I had my mirror out in the living room because I was doing something dress-related (can't remember what now) and after I was done the mirror was still there. While I was drinking my tea as I got ready for bed I looked in the mirror and saw how odd the pose my legs and fingers were in was. Then I got out my camera and duplicated the pose, minus my face which had been facing the mirror before (whithout which I wouldn't have been able to see the odd pose, duh). Basically, this is what I do in my spare time. The sweatshirt is a Trinity College (Dublin, not DC) sweatshirt and the shorts are my blue plaid boxers.

Old File - new edit for 2017

My latest teacup. Circa 1940's. Got it at the local antique store (3 blocks away) for ten bucks. It is only decal art, but I love that older teacup profile.

I inherited these cups from my mother, who passed away in 2003. She loved her cup-and-saucer sets, and left me nearly two dozen. I gave away or sold several, and kept the ones that I (and she) loved the most. The "Hazel's cups" series is devoted to those most special cups.
