"My heart is like a teacup covered with hairline cracks. I feel like I have to walk real carefully so it won't get shaken and just all shatter and break. " -- Francesca Lia Block, Missing Angel Juan.

Teacups in a shrine, Singapore
So many benches, so little time. It was so cute, everytime we saw a bench, she would say: "mommy, look we should take pictures with that bench". I had to explain about Bench Monday to my family, since they were all wondering why she had a bench obsession :)
I saw a variation of this scene done by Rusty from UK and I loved it so much I wanted to try one. I used the teacupcake silicon wrappers which I stuffed with plastic cups to make them standup. I piled them on top of one another in a slant and then added smaller teacups. After that I used spackle and paper clay to nake rocks and added flowers and greenery. Then I added the train figure rock climbers. The whole scene is about 9 inches tall.
us and our friends in another teacup were passing mickey back and forth during the ride... You should most definitely try it.

Another surprising find in a Northern Maine anitque shop yesterday. I couldn't make it to Brimfield so I had to settle for Northern Maine.
Things have been quiet around here lately and that's because I've been in Los Angeles! I have lots to share but for now here is one of my favorites. It was Cory's first trip to Disneyland so to say he had a good time is kind of an understatement...

Spinning around on the teacups ride at Disneyland with my niece on her 5th birthday. It was her first visit to the park, and she had a magnificent time asking princesses about their hobbies and dancing with giant chipmunks ("how do you know which one is which?" she asked about Chip and Dale).

The matching Teacup and Butterfly cupcakes, were orange cakes with a lemon, lime and coconut buttercream swirl on top!
For Emma’s 21st, her mum organised a Cup of Coffee Cake, which she requested in mint green with butterflies.
The cake flavour was White Chocolate Mud with layers of peppermint crisp and vanilla buttercream.
Hand-made fondant teacups on each cupcake.
