Wild stands around the junction of the Jimboomba - Mandolin Road and Ann Street, Jimboomba.

These stands of M. irbyana occur only in a geographically limited patch of southeast Queensland; on heavy, cracking clays developed from Mesozoic, Cainozoic and Quaternary sediments with impeded drainage, in Beaudesert, Boonah, Esk, Ipswich, Laidley and Logan Local Government Areas. The species has paperbark type bark, and the weepiness of the branchlets varies from tree to tree.

k and i did a 7 or 8 miler along the beach trails last sunday... i love the trails there soooo much. this is a nice part of it.

My travelling companion David Backwell has been dispatched by the forward party to try and find out what's keeping me so long. He waits patiently when I beg him to let me take one more photo, this time of a stand of wind-shaped Melaleuca lanceolata (Rottnest Teatree). Bob's Hollow, Cape to Cape Track, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, Western Australia.
