I totally missed this one out of the bunch on Friday.

I had the camera at a much steeper angle before deciding to go lower and get the yellow leaf to show through the drop.

I really liked the way the water looked like satin so added it to the task 3 submission pool!

"What was he thinking about?" you ask. Tools. Power tools. No, this wasn't one of those meditative Hallmark moments, sts. He was actually pricing tools on my laptop while gracefully excepting his shift on kid duty.

What can I say, the man knows how to multi-task.

Still using family-trip-digital-point-and-shoot, unfortunately. Almost there, Nikon, almost there. Just five more months of tight budgeting.

Each year in Lent I undertake a task, usually attempting to draw daily.

This year I've decided to challenge myself to create and experiment every single day and this is the first completed piece.

I dyed an old envelope with tea bags and then drew and stitched images on to it.

It is mounted on to a card made from watercolour paper.

As my son's wedding draws nearer, more wedding tasks emerge.

The bridal couple have asked me to decorate the easel which will hold the table plans and they wish me to use the lilac fabric which formed the background for their wedding invitations.

I have made this mock up which uses machine embroidery on silk, hand made flowers and beading. The cream flowers are from my own wedding headress( with added beading).

I also think she was a badass military woman in a second life. She keeps the house together with such a firm, structured hand that I am tempted to call her Sergeant Mama G.
