A very important Taskmaster moment ~ Diamondback asks what happened to his street thug accent - he explains that the bronx thug behaviour is actually just a façade he puts on to throw others off. Pretty smart tactic actually.

Aside from Udon's Taskmaster mini, this is the only other time I can recall when his accent and voice inconsistency was explained.

This page alone is enough to make me as a reader - accept the back and forth changes in Tasky's behaviour and speaking pattern. Good writing yet again - thank you Hank Kanalz. (And a good excuse for future writers who don't do enough research if you ask me.)

Sprout did the artwork for most of these tile puzzles, courtesy Joan on Etsy, that I used to feed some clues in a Taskmaster holiday game for the family.

This was a special crossover with Malibu Comic's Siren. For a short series Taskmaster had plenty very good character moments.

He was mainly placed in a supporting role as Siren's guide in the Marvel universe. Here you get to see him portrayed well as a teacher/leader more than anything else.

collector's note: The Variant edition as you can see is obviously a better choice to have since the original cover was plain and all black. This issue is not numbered - but for all intents and purposes serves as the series #0

This mini series crossover is well written in terms of character development - a highly recommended read for fans of any of the featured characters.

I had a long, long, boring day at jury duty today, and I think I'm getting a cold. All I wanted to do when I got home was lie down and die but Schnookie was all, "Hey, go take pictures of the pretty sky!" I'm glad she was a cruel taskmaster, though, because the sky was quite lovely.
