I was tagged again a few days back by Che Esco. Didn't have that patience to write again :) So, here is the earlier version I posted :)
Have been trying to come up with this for the last 3 days and finally I'm done. I am still a kid and would love to be the same and couldn't find a better picture to do that. Having been tagged by Aditi, here I am, listing down the 16 things that best describe me......
1.Born on 24th August 1984 in Ajmer (Rajasthan), I am totally in love with the state for its splendid colors, never ending deserts, the different seasons, the food .........almost everything. Though a cusp of Leo and Virgo, I exhibit all the traits of a true Virgo in all the things I do. The most prominent being that I seek perfection in all the little and big things around.Like everything to be very crisp and neat or else I don't do it at all. I over react to most of the things at almost all times.
2. People around say I talk a lot :D and well YES! I agree to that totally. Remebering the times when I was in school and I practically didn't talk at all to today when I blabber so much, I've changed a lot. Love to talk to people and know more about them and the world around. (Though most of the times only I do the talking :D)
3. The first camera I got was when I was in 8th standard and since then I have been trying my hands on. Tried experimenting only when I got the Sony DSC-W50, the one I have as of now. Had never thought about photography seriously till I met Aradhya(though for a small time) who told me I have some good shots and should try more. Then it was Aditi who introduced me to Flickr and here I am.
4. Blessed with a beautiful voice(the only thing good about me :) ), I used to be a good singer and have been winning awards since I was in grade 5 in school but I am sad as I can't sing well for the last two years as the bangalore weather keeps my throat irritating almost all the time.
5. Music is something, that keeps me on. I can almost listen to anything that I come across. The range varies from Mettalica to Jagjit Singh.I have varied interests and one of them is playing the synth. Always dream of having days where after work, I can have my hands on the keyboard and play the music I want. In particular, a song called 'Aao Na' from the movie 'Kyun Ho Gaya Na'
6. 'Surprises' , Give me some and the smile spreads across my face like a butterfly. I am the happiest when the surprises in store open up their wings. Don't get many though and infact I am the one surprising people everytime :)
7. I sing with joy when I see the clouds moving to cover the sky above me. Love getting wet in the rain and watching it come down to bless. I land in some other world when the soft and cold wind just kisses and passes by.There is one thing I love about monsoons and that is the time when it used to rain and mumma made pakode and all of us had fun having them.
8. I love to party with friends be it anywhere. Can dance all night and have fun. Have been missing this for quite sometime now and waiting for the day when I get this opportunity again.
9. I am someone who is totally confused about all the things that I want to do. My priorities keep changing with my moods. As of now, the confusion is what to take up this year in my career.
10.Totally obsessed with fine arts, designs, colors, patterns, I always wanted to take up designing but somehow have not been able to till now because of many reasons. Its this time. I find myself somewhere close to doing that seriously this year. I sit and day dream most of the times of having my own design house and a label some years down the line.
11.I am in love with neatly and creatively done houses. Want to have a huge house and do the interiors myself for which the hardwork is on. I have a collection of over 126 books/magazines that talk about interiors and the collection is on.....
12. I love cooking and inviting people home for dinners. Experiment quite a bit with food and am the happiest when people hog on the same. There is a 32 X 2 smile on my face when people appreciate the food I make.
13. Like my dad, I have a sweet tooth and can eat almost anything that is sweet. Can resist anything in the world but not desserts, the main reason why I am putting on weight.
14. This should have come earlier in the list but never mind, I am a shopping freak and that is something I can do at any hour of the day. Can spend hours together at one store and still don't buy anything. The best example is of the Shoppers Stop on Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore where I spent 4 hours. Can shop for almost anything and everything from home decor to clothes to crockery to jewellery just everything.
15. I get bored if i keep on doing the same things on and on and need a lot of change in day to day life in terms of how I spend my days.
16. The last has a lot to say about what all I want these days:
> I wish I can buy the DSLR as soon as possible to take better shots
> I want to have a good DVD library
> I am planning to visit either Venice or Maldives or take a nice trip to New Zealand end of this year or early next year
> I wish I could lose some 15 Kgs before I get married
> I wish to settle down in a new big house asap
> I want to take up design as soon as possible
> I wish to have a nice bridal trousseau by a good designer
> I want to give up work and just chill at home for some time
> I want to learn many things from my mother, Dharma, Vikram, Aditi, Sandy, Bhagat and a lot of people and wish I got the time to do that.
and finally ..........
I always wish, I could go back to the childhood days. Doing absolutely nothing, I just want to go back home and be with my parents and re-live all those 24 years.
I am finally getting back to catching up on the Tag Games.

I have been tagged & I am a team player, and love to play games. I am not feeling very well and not feeling the SP thing, and I loved this shot that DZ took during an Urban Adventure in Underground Montreal. Figured I could use this for my U/L in the tag game!
10 Facts... Again!?!?
1- I was supposed to be a model actually. Many, many years ago. Modelling for Lycra and potentially Clin d'Oeil. After many people saying, "go for it", I did. I built up a small little portfolio and met some creepy people, and some more serious! Needless to say when Lycra called to say, come on in... my boyfriend at the time, prohibited my from modeling. I think today I might actually be happy about it, but, not sure!!
2- Last night I felt like I was going to vomit, at 1am, and I instantly began to whine all by myself. I even had an urge to call my boyfriend & wake him so that I can complain on the phone and acquire some sort of TLC through a phone line! I am a fucken wuss when I am sick.
3- My boyfriend's sister... umm, my sister in law (???), just had a baby (YAYYY!!), and as much as I no longer ever want any more children ever again... I still can't wait to see him hold the baby to give me that tingling maternal feeling you get when your in your 20's and see the man you love holding a baby, the clock ticks & all that Hollywood romantic comedy movie stuff. I think I just rambled!
4- We are hiring a new person to replace the old person, whom the old person got caught for stealing, and that old person was worked against me by our controler, because for some reason she doesn't & never liked me in the 10 years I have worked here, and now the new person I'm thinking is being promised to take over my position, somehow, and you know what.......... I don't fucken care. Fuck you office politics.
5- I don't actually like this photo of "me". I look shapeless... well, I am. I have no hips, (as you can tell). I actually look titless too. But hey, I love the concept, I love the lighting, I love the frame & I've always been somewhat hesitant to do something with this photo. Hope DZ doesn't mind!!!! (I never ask permission!).
6- This weekend Ben & I are going away for the night, for his birthday... as we do every year. I'd tell you where, but he's going to read this... needless to say... I actually feel so uncreative about it, that every year we go away to a Bed & Breakfast & I really should have put more thought into this year. I just hope that all he cares about is spending time with me. (insert comment below Alteffkatt!!!)
7- I'm really running out of ideas for 10 facts. Honestly. I've done this game 3 times already & I refuse to repeat from the other facts listed previously. So, allow me to add in here........... I really have to pee, but I'm going to wait until I'm finished listing my 10 facts.
8- I have quite a few photo ideas, artistic ideas... but have no idea how to put them into play. The fact that I have ideas, actually intimidate me. Strange but true. The commitment it requires to put your ideas into play is what stresses me out. This is why I do not take my photography to a more serious level, meaning making some bucks. I'd hate to schedule a shoot with someone & detest the day it arrives because I HAVE TO. Does anyone else have this problem?
9- I don't regret any of the men I've met in my life. I don't regret the time I've spent with them. I don't regret telling them I love them. I don't regret thinking they were the best lovers I have ever had... because of them, I have been able to meet the one man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Because of them, I now know that I have met my best friend, my truly amazing lover, my partner & the person I can wake up to each morning and love him more than day before. I have met the man that completes me. (no matter what we go through, I always love you, I never cease for a moment & question our feelings for each other).
10- OH MY GOD... I can finally go pee.

This shot is my version of a self portrait resulting from my lack of creativity and editing tools when it comes to photos of my face... You get to see, instead, my new (and, thus, NOT dirty yet!) Converse All-Stars, with my feet in 'em, propped against my balcony railing. One of my favorite spots in the world is on my balcony, where I do a lot of reading when the weather's nice. 1. To my knowledge, I've never eaten Spam.
2. You should see my baseball cap collection. Not a collection of teams. I have my share of Cardinals and White Sox variations, but I have tons of other caps that aren't MLB-team-related.
3. You should see how many shoes I own. Maybe 18 pairs?
4. You should see how many wildlife conservation calendars I receive in the mail every year. Not only do I never need to buy a calendar, my family doesn't have to either. I dole the extras out to my parents, sister, and brother. I keep three for myself: one for the kitchen, one for my home office, and one for cubeworld (my desk at work).
5. I wish I had more money to give to worthy charities. I always want to donate more than I'm able to give.
6. I refuse to believe I'm anything but still in my 20s. 40 just doesn't make sense to me.
7. The World Series just ended last week, and I'm already thinking about the start of spring training. Come on, baseball! (see, that also means winter's over -- when baseball starts again, that is).
8. I wish we had three-day weekends every week.
9. I often wonder why people find it so much harder to love than they do to hate.

Thanks Ken. Now I have to come up with 16 things you may or may not want to know about me:
#1 The photo shows me finishing my first marathon in Frankfurt back in 2003. I swore it would be my last. Yes, I look tired and shagged, but then so would you :-) Since then I have finished 4 others.
#2 I love to cook for myself and for friends, mostly Indian, Chinese and Thai.
#3 I was born in a pub (explains a lot of things, really).
#4 I did a somewhat unusual degree at university - chemistry and German.
#5 If pressed, I would probably say that my favourite book is "The Gormenghast Trilogy" by Mervyn Peake - if you don't know it, read it.
#6 Music is absolutely essential for me. Favourite bands include Sigur Ros, Yes, Dream Theater, Metallica, Tenhi, Third and the Mortal, Strapping Young Lad, Pink Floyd, Tri Yann, Tool, Tiamat, King Crimson, The Cure, Dead Can Dance, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Anathema.
#7 I have been living in Darmstadt, Germany, since 1981 and I consider it to be my real home town.
#8 I have been a scuba diving instructor since 1992 and I love being on, in, under or near the sea.

A Malu, motivo pelo qual tomei coragem para ter uma (já que eu ababava nas dela) me deu algumas dicas e a primeira vez que olhei pra Pullip Chill eu sabia, ela era minha pequena, minha Kimmie-cup, minha mini-Luly!
- Eu sempre amei brincar de bonecas, meus momentos ao lado da Barbie foram os melhores da minha infância. Agora minhas Barbies perderam suas coisas para essa paixão que nunca vai acabar!

Kim was my 1st one, my 1st Pullip, my 1st love!!
I always wanted a Fashion Doll named Kimberly, because is my favourite name and i can't give to a "real" daughter 'cause isn't a common name in Brazil...
So I started to look for the perfect Pullip for me. Malu gave me some tips and the first time I looked at Pullip Chill I knew, she was my little one, my Kimmie-cup, my mini-Luly!!
- I always LOVED playing with dolls, my moments next to Barbie were the bests of my childhood. Now my Barbies lost their stuff to this "new" passion that'll never end!!

Next up, here's a photo I'm really proud of! This is from the Gap Factory Outlet store in Southaven on the north end of Airways at South Lake Centre (not to be confused with the Gap Factory Outlet on the south end of Airways at Tanger Outlets). They had two tall metal-shelved carts stuffed with shelf tags and other miscellaneous product identifiers just sitting out unattended, so naturally I took advantage of the photo opportunity. This one turned out by far the best: I was so excited that my camera was able to give it the effect I wanted! Usually when it focuses, it has everything in focus, and I lose the often-cool focused/unfocused effect. There's probably a better term for that, but I'm on here more for retail photography than technical photography, so forgive me :P
I prefer to avoid changing things up (I intend never to change my user icon), but I couldn't resist making this my new header photo :)
UPDATE, 9-21-16: This photo had a good run, but the time has come to put up a new header...
