I really like the extra space the new desk provides, such as being able to fit a tablet in front of the keyboard.
I used an Art Gallery print for the interior of my tablet sleeve because it is so soft.

Orange Tablet (from Scottish Cookery by Catherine Brown (I have an older edition)).
1lb sugar
2 oz butter
4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
5 fluid oz orange juice (or water for plain tablet)
Combine ingredients in a pan and heat until at the soft ball stage (240F). Remove from heat, place on a cool surface*, and beat with a wooden spoon. Pour out onto a greased pan, and let set. You can mark it before it sets completey to help break it into smaller pieces.
*I tried putting the pan into a pan of cold water while I beat the mixture with the wooden spoon, which I think improved the texture, although it started to thicken pretty quickly, and I had to pour it out into the pan quickly before it set. So perhaps cooling, but only very briefly, would work best.
The basic tablet recipe has water instead of orange juice, but I really like this variation. Other suggested variations to the basic recipe include adding dessicated coconut (2oz), chopped preserved ginger (2oz), or 2-3 drops of peppermint oil.
