Not sure if todays table will be used, as we are helping friends move house today, so there might be fish n' chips or a pub meal this evening ... I'm not cooking!
Set for Christmas - Day 15
Not at all Christmas colours, but with a few sparkly baubles, voila, it's Christmas
Today we have a prawn salad to start, followed by gammon and mash fo him and a smoked salmon risotto for me.
Set for tonight's dinner, which may be a smoked salmon and avocado salad ... but that depends on whether the avocado ripens by this evening.

nestled by the azure embrace of the mediterranean, this terrace in portixol offers more than a meal; it presents a serene pause in the day. a ceramic vase with whimsical eucalyptus branches centerpieces the table, mirroring the casual elegance of its surroundings. beyond, the playful dance of palm trees against a bright sky promises leisure and escape. every element here, from the woven placemats to the crisp, inviting linens, speaks of a thoughtful blend of natural beauty and refined comfort. this setting, captured in its sun-drenched glory, is an invitation to savor the moment, overlooking the spirited streets of one of palma's most beloved waterfront districts.
.. not many things inspire romance as well as a candlelit romantic dinner - especially when there's a jewelry box involved! :^

This is at Scotney Castle (National Trust) and oh how I would love to rummage in their china store and set this table ... at least I would have made sure the candles were straight. and the cutlery was spaced correctly.
I used the warmest colours of Fall starting with a deep orange tablecloth for my Thanksgiving table setting.
Our friends got married in Sweden last summer, and we were honored to be a part of their day. The Dala horses were my favorite decor that Lara used for the wedding, besides the wild lupine we picked from the side of the roads!
Set for Christmas - Day 14
Some more traditional colours, albeit rather muted.
Today we have homemade chicken and vegetable soup, followed by a salad of some sort, i.e. open the fridge and see what's there :))
captured in the lindner hotel mallorca in bendinat, near palma de mallorca, this scene features salt and pepper mills in a vibrant orange that immediately caught my eye. the hotel, known for its reasonably good food, showcases architecture with a touch of western style. While the interior design may feel a bit outdated, these bright mills add a fresh and lively element to the dining experience.
