That's my hiking bud Kevin framing up a shot on Table Rock. Both of us being shutter junkies and the lack of real estate up there forced a quick game of rock, scissors, paper determined who stayed in the choice spot, and who hiked on to the limited outlook 1/4 mi away. (where I took this shot)

I never got the hang of RSP...

Totally unrelated, I have climbed and repelled off of that cliff... so sweet !!!!

Goal: To create a branding package for an upcoming series titled BLIND SPOTS.

Audience: Adult weekend service.

Direction: The pastor told me he liked the idea of sun spots for this concept. I went with a colder color pallet to help communicate danger. I also wanted enough busyness so that the title was a little hard to read. This helps reinforce the idea of not being able to see something right in front of you.

Project: Freelance project: Clockwise from top left: Bulletin outside, Bulletin inside, Home page rotator, Sermon web banner, Postcard mailer, Power point for notes, Power point opener.

This design is more or less finished but I'm always open to ideas on how to improve it.

Yet another sunset. Making nice pictures of beautiful scenes like these is so easy it almost seems like cheating. I have twenty or so more just as good as the ones posted so far, but seriously, who wants to look at that many? Not me. Time to move on to other things.

Table Rock is a section of Conway granite that is 150 meters (500 ft) long and 20 meters (75 ft) wide. Over time, the rushing waters of the Flume Brook exposed this large outcropping of rock.

Table Rock State Park SC Autumn Sunrise - Balance

Early morning fall foliage at Table Rock State Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Upstate South Carolina. I love this spot by Table Rock in the colorful autumn foliage. I named this image balance not only because of the obvious reflection that balances against itself, but also the perfect balance of the classic blue / gold complimentary colors here. Hope you enjoy it, comments and faves welcome! ;-)

Use "L" to view large, "F" to fave it!

These shots were taken along Carrick Creek, part of South Carolina's Table Rock State Park. While the Carrick Creek portion is rather tame, this is also used as a starting point for rigorous hikes to Table Rock and Pinnacle Mountain. It's a great place to begin an adventure.

Welcome to Pickens County in Upstate South Carolina!

This image was captured during one of our better snowfalls a few years back.

Pickens County is home to the beautiful Table Rock State Park as well as several other outdoor trails, waterfalls and historic points of interest, including the Hagood Mill.

Furthermore, running through Pickens County is the scenic Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway, known more commonly as Highway 11, which is where this image was captured.

I would call this highway the main artery from which many of the popular travel destinations within the county and surrounding areas can be reached.

In addition, the historic downtown Pickens is the host of the annual Azalea Festival, which will be held April 15-17 this year, and is always a great event.

Never visited Pickens County? You can find more images from the area by browsing my gallery and additional information about local sites and events by visiting these websites:

This is the first waterfall on the Top of the Rock trail. I took loads of photos of it during my late fall visit last year but the lack of color just wasn't enough. Glad to see it draped in greenery!

Another beautiful and colorful sunset here in Southern Oregon. Shot just by the famous "Table Rock" which can be seen in the far right side of the horizon.

Table Rock is a unique flat topped rocky formation located in the Rogue Valley here in the south of the State of Oregon.

We're Here - Abstract in Reality

I enjoy shots like this, showing the motion and fluidity of the ocean waves as they meet the solidity of the rocks. The dichotomy is kinda cool in my opinion. This is another summertime shot from the Oregon coast near Yachats.

Niagara Falls... The American Falls is one of three waterfalls that together are known as Niagara Falls on the Niagara River along the Canada–U.S. border.

Unlike the much larger Horseshoe Falls, of which two-thirds of the falls is located in Ontario,

Canada, and one-third in the US state of New York, the American Falls is entirely within the United States and New York.

Another shot of the Tetons from a hike I took last summer. My favorite hike is Table Mountain. It's the flat topped mountain I've tagged in this image.

This image was taken from the other side of the mountain range from the previous image. We call it the Idaho side, but I was in Wyoming....barely.

Not sure which unit was having issues on CZ #5, but UP 7085 leads Amtrak units 135 and 96 into Coal Creek Canyon on a frosty December morning.

Visible in the background is Table Mountain in Golden and a portion of the Big Ten Curve.

Table Rock is a distinct peak in upstate South Carolina, and dare I say the most interesting mountain in the state. While it is stunning when view from below, a challenging but manageable trail climbs 2,200 feet in elevation for those who want to savor the views. Either way you prefer to enjoy Table Rock, I think this is a place everyone in the southeast should view at some point in their lifetimes.

My hubby took this photo of Table Rock State Park and I applied the tilt shift to it. I love tilt shift!!!!! What do you think?

p.s. Tilt shift gives images (or parts of images) a miniature effect. I love to try new things.........mix things up a little. :0)
