Lucky me. I got to sit up close to the head table at a table with Sam's extended family (her cousin at this table was one of the Salsa performers scheduled in the program that evening).
You might also notice that on the menu there was a dessert station at the end of the evening with waffles, ice cream and assorted sweets. :)
It is hard to not appreciate the incredible amount of care and attention to detail that Sam had put into the reception.

This one is pushing the 3-inch rule boundaries for the MM group but does just make it. Still to decide which image to use, this one or the previously posted one of the bark of a pear tree. I do also have another prepared, which is my current favourite, for the group submission.
Performance, Ikea Table, 2008
Dull Project. For my first performance in a exhibition space i decided to work for 8 hours, an Ikea table has been built and unbuilt. I repeated the action allowing the process to take decisions and the table could not repeat its form. it finally ended up quite destroyed. In the picture tables number 1 and 5.

a little better view of the top.

Police forced the protestors to move their table to the other corner of the block. The Occupy Wall Street movement marked its two year anniversary on Sept. 17, and turnout was noticeably lower than the previous year. Photo by Andy Mai.
Well it was inevitable that I'd end up using the new football table as a subject so I thought I'd get it out of the way and get in some practise with Lightroom into the bargain.
